That wasn't a no! (y)

ASM will deliver (at sensible cost) their auction cars - just throwing that into the equation. Only a day to go on the auction - you need to register but it's quick from memory (I have a log in somewhere too......).

That steering wheel does look interesting - can anyone tell if it's a wooden one (pic too small on the phone)? If so it's likely to be the option one for the Uno (forget the make) - the last one I bid on (I thought it was worth £40-£50) went for £150 so you get the Panda free!!

Mamma Mia! Black pandas are so amazing. This would be perfect for the 1242 engined panda I have lurking in my imagination, especially with that steering wheel! I even saw some gorgeous black alloys in a tyre shop the other day that would suit this down to the ground

Funny though that the seller says "only 2 owners from new and from the same family" Yeah, plus the salvage yard he got it from and now him, I think that makes 4 ;)

Sounds like you've got it all sorted - are you bidding? ;)

Traders won't go on the V5 though. This guy is clearly a trader, and ASM won't have registered it, so could be right - at least if he'd said "keepers" to be pedantic (y)

Isn't it a write off also?

It was a category X, so isn't recorded anywhere & won't show up on an HPI check. I don't know where they come from - stolen recovered maybe?

Not that it would effect the value necessarily on an old CLX anyway, even it if had been written off & repaired correctly.

I rang the dealer (specialises in classics) to ask about the car.

It's had a bit of welding and has advisories for rear arch, suspension 'misting' and bent bit on the front wheel wotsit.

Logistically I can't view until after the auction ends - he also says the door bottoms look like they have been painted with a brush.

I could see myself in this with a red interior, although they would cost more than the car!

Oh and he rang me back to tell me it's HPI clear.

If you're bidding JamieK I won't - otherwise I'm declaring my interest officially!
