They'll fit fine - later Pandas had 155/65/13 as standard. Are you matcing the back tyres too?

155/70s are fine on a 4.5j 13" Rim. Had them on the Lancia for 3 or 4 years now.

No the tyres I've bought are 145, and I currently have 155's on...
They'll be fine too - earlier Pandas were 145/80 and even 135/80. Them's thin.

Thanks! I was worried I'd just thrown £90 away... Especially since for the first time I've bought an actual decent set of tyres... even if they're a bit thin

Tyres are on, pretending to be a dragster with fat(ter) tyres on the rear :slayer:
I personally like the 135/80, suits the look and feel of the car. If you like the wider tyres thing then fine, but I like the responsiveness through the steering wheel you get with the pizza cutter tyres
As said above, the 145s are fine, but if the others are 155, the larger ones MUST always be on the rear. Also must not mix them across any axle.
The Smart car has different tyre sizes from to rear too. There are probably others too but I can't think of any of the top of my head.

I seem to remember they make the car ride quite well, but im still traumatized by a complete failure to navigate a wet corner on 135/80s.

Well now I'm worried about my new 145's.
They're rated 'C' (whatever that means) for wet grip so can't be that bad as I've seen many rated E and below.

My winters are 145 and it's absolutely fine. Don't worry
It's a little car and not very heavy - a modern Fiesta or something on 165s will work the tyres much harder due to the weight.

Well I drove today without the radio on for the first time since new tyres, I have a very light scraping noise, its not constant, more like in the rhythm of a ticking clock but not ticking just a very quiet scraping, can't be heard over the radio or over speeds of about 40mph due to wind/road noise.
The speed increases with momentum rather than engine speed. I think it might be the new wheel weights hitting something although the noise doesn't seem to change from going straight on to turning full lock. Could be the brake discs dust cover things bent and hitting the disc? I'll jack up and have a look on Tuesday...
