Under the dash on the passenger side. Was there on my 93 CLX.

It'll be LHD though presumably, does that mean it's on the drivers side or did that swap round too

I would think it would have swapped over, not much room round the steering column?

Maybe not, the fusebox is the other side remember which takes up a similar amount of space.
In any case, the upshot is, they put it inside the cabin rather than under the bonnet so check under the dash, should be pretty obvious!

lol a 6F yeah i know the ECU well. that one is designed to work on the FIRE engine. the 6F i have is designed to run in the 903cc over head valve engine.

ok can you take a picture of the ECU the lancia Y is running? i want to see what that says.

with any luck the ECU will plug strait in!

The Lancia ECU is a 16F and Lancia and Fiat 1.2 16v engines run a 8F

the 8F is the ECU i currently run.

i am not sure if just swapping the ECU would work. if it has the 16F, it will have a built in immobiliser. the 6F i dont think will have one.

i think if you take the ECU and loom from off the 999cc engine and put it on the 1.2 engine it should work fine.

Been quite busy latelly...

Anyway I binned the 1242 auto option in favor of a 16v...

I'm picking the donor car next Thursday and start the conversion in the beginning of next month...
