so got the angle grinder out and prepped the grotty bit of sill ready to brave the mig. Then welded away ineptly at some scrap for a bit but not really happy enough with the results yet to go near the car with it.

So I put some badges and the previously threatened stripe on instead(y)

Not the best pic, it was starting to get dark by this stage, but you get the idea I hope.

....Oh and we are busy deciding on a name. Completely standard 999 performance means 'Trundleweed' is a contender or, since Alexander is quite taken with the twin sunnies, 'Roofus' is the other possibility.

It's a Fizz isn't it? Therefore the engine should have a 4x4 cam? So should be faster than most 999's

This isn't official, it's only if they were all that were laying about on the day of production.

I can confirm this, the thinking at one time is if they were manufactured after a certain date then they had the 4x4 cam. Having had the head off PTP several times and measured (again several times) I can confirm that PTP doesnt have one.

Its only a hunch though, nothing official ;)

And I've one Selecta with a 4x4 cam and had later ones without it for example.

Oh to have been a fly on the wall to see if they were just putting any old thing in or not, maybe just a big box filled with assorted camshafts? :ROFLMAO:

Am I right in thinking that in (a very unlikely scenario) a scenario in which you had reason to claim on your insurance that they could invalidate/cause problems with the claim because in their view that the car perhaps was (however mildly) modified without informing them?

The BHP is listed as 45bhp for my Parade, but what if a parade made around the same time got the extra 5bhp? Unlikely scenario but go me thinking

They'll have to prove it didn't come out the of factory like that. In addition to this the book stats are only ever a guide, nearly all Modern FPT Diesels for example have better real life stats than on paper, again nothing insurance can be void over.

Adding things you've got in the garage doesn't count :p
Oh ye of little faith! It's attached to the door!(yes, the door of this car, not the spare door.) not in the garage!

..anyway, remind me again what marvels come with the Fizz I'm missing out on:p
I cant hear any of you peasants over the sound of my mohair sunroofs blowing in the breeze :ROFLMAO:
Those shabby old things, been on there years now haven't they;) Brand new mine you know..:D
