On the hard shoulder...
As detailed in this thread, Pippin once had "Formula '90" décals on his hind-quarters...

...and now I will be getting him back, soon -- and kolza kindly traced his "Formula '91" décals for me... -- I was seriously thinking of getting them recreated. However, I'm struggling to decide what colour they should be.

This is what they look like on the white Panda that's recently been on eBay...

...and I think they're white or cream (or even greyish) on Jacob's. :chin:

And, of course, this is what Pippin looks like...!

Any thoughts on the matter would therefore be very welcome...! :worship:

PS: JamieK -- you don't remember what colour they were on the one you spotted, do you...?

Light blue would look nice

I know what you mean... -- although I think I want something a little more 'contrast-y'....

I might just pick a colour from his upholstery, when I get him back. I just don't want the homewardette plumping for pink...!

Of course, he does have the orangey-red stripe on the boot...

All of them were light grey iirc. I have Uno and Tipo brochures from 1990 where they have "formula" models (different script but same colour). All of the Panda and Uno Formula 90's I remember were a light grey colour - there used to be loads of them as they were cheap!

Therefore it has to be light grey Shirley?! (y)

I knew someone was going to say something like this. :bang:

And there was I thinking a nice Sisley-script cream would look really  and go with the upholstery....

Thanks, Laverne...! :D

BTW: what do you mean, "cheap"?

Actually, I'm impressed (and grateful -- honest...) that someone knew. However: do I stay 'authentic'; or do I say :p to all that...? :nono:

We have clearance Clarence :)

I should have said good value, or well priced, maybe inexpensive?

The truth is no one much remembers, and even fewer will care (in the nicest possible sense) so Sisleyesqe would look fine. (y)

Stephen I'm sorry I haven't got back to you about my stickers man yet, he hasn't replied to my email about doing the set of decals as yet. I will get back on it :)

Ta! And no panic! I've tried emailing a couple of local firms, just in case... -- but, as I usually never hear from such companies again, I may yet be pestering you...! :)

Hi Homey, I'm pretty sure they were a light grey colour on the one I saw near me, but equally a nice cream/off white might suit Pippin.

Bizarrely looking back at the photo I took of it, it turns out it was the blue twin sunnies that was in auction watch a couple weeks back, only they'd removed the formula stickers, painted the bottom half black and fitted alloys since I spotted it!
