Just popping a few pics on here, until the gallery has been set up. (y)

The view from some weird huge "sculpture" thing - someone will know what it was....

Saturday Panda's, friends, and Lucy our new mascot.

Sunday morning off-roading.

Sunday afternoon off-roading. I hope there are some pics of the cars going down the rocky bits - I was sort of too busy driving at the time!

Excellent pics Gav! I loved how we got such a cross-section of vehicles this time. The sculptury place is called The Coldstones Cut, and the Quarry overlooked is Hanson Greenhow.

Thanks - I don't think I heard what it was called on the day. We stopped and wandered up a very steep hill, and that was at the top!! :)

Yes it was good to see a selection of cars - plenty of the best ones there - I do of course mean the best 4x4xfar aka the Panda. ;)

By the way, my trip thingy was pretty close. Somehow the mk3 did 50.75mpg going up, 37.20mpg while off-roading & hurtling round the dales, and 40.76mpg coming home. Overall 43.16mpg for the 620 miles (trip thing said 44.6, so it's not far out). I thought that was pretty good (y)

Clearly Fiat Forum Classic Panda organised Friendly Off-Road Yorkshire Weekends are good weather magnets.

I'm allready giving some thoughts in "green route" planing around Moors and coast area.
Hope next spring one Friendly Weekend (Estern time) will take place here.

That's looking good for the weekend's trip fuel wise Gav, I presume better than your MK2 could have done? I don't work it out, but I tend to use alot less fuel during the laning than I do on the roads - although there are no flat roads around here!

Jacob that sounds like a plan to me! We missed having you there this weekend.

Yes the Sisley averages 34 (I think it's in the fuelly thing below). On that trip I'd not have been surprised to see 28/29mpg, so this was considerably better. (y) Don't get me wrong, I'm not really that bothered (the Abarth wasn't bought for its fuel economy :D ) - I've always recorded my mpg though, and it can be a useful tool for diagnosing mechanical problems before anything drastic happens. I really shouldn't have got into Gavin's 4x4 - Convinced myself it is a completely necessary purchase for winter driving now

It is completely necessary.....

I could tell you liked it (as did Lucy!), so it's a good job you don't like red cars. ;)

Compared to a mk2 it's remarkably refined over the rough stuff isn't it? It only brushed a couple of rogue stones (mainly when we fell into the ruts I think), but didn't hit any of the big steps/rocks or anything, so ground clearance must be ok. There are I think 3 new scuffs on the (previously dented & scabby looking) sump guard, but all minor. I did notice that I couldn't always fit between the ruts when the mk2's could, so the track must be slightly wider - hence the falling in the ruts once! (y)

How did you find that? I've been wading about in the FAQ section and couldn't find it, and the members list didn't seem to have a filter feature to search for mods. Probably just me being stupid, but thanks! (y)

I won't tag them again as you've done it :slayer:

How annoying, I went there too & went to the bottom! I can't read what that says - the white text on white bit of the flag is completely unreadable on the phone :bang: I looked at it earlier, couldn't read it & decided it wasn't what I was looking for!! :bang:
