I quite fancy doing Lands End to JoG, and back (say, starting and finishing in Birmingham...), in a Panda (either as co-driver, or in a Selecta); or around the coast of mainland Britain. Any takers...?!

Goofball? Greaseball? Oddball? Pushball? Screwball? Racketball? Speedball?!

Maybe next year? (y)

I started reading this thread & thought screwball before I'd got to your post. Do they still make those (veering onto a food topic(!))? :yum:

I've always wanted to do a Lands end to JoG run. For those that want to do a longer trip it would be a good way to sort out how the logistics will work.
homeward, you know your always welcome in the co-pilots seat of my cars (y)

Round the coast sounds good. I looked at it several years ago without using motorways and it's upwards of 2,500 miles. Still wouldn't mind having a go at it.

Could do it in aid of a charity, such as the Distressed middle-aged men with facial hair (No. 2 Swiss Account)

The original, the Cannonball Baker Sea to Shining Sea Memorial Trophy Dash was run originally in the '70s and was won by the organiser Brock Yates and his co-driver Dan Gurney in a Ferrari 365 GTB/4. There was a fun element in the form of a hired ambulance, as parodied by Burt Reynolds, Jack Elam and Dom deLuise in "Cannonball Run" and the Polish Racing Drivers of America competed in a minibus.

I'd happily do Lands End to JoG and back or around the coast of mainland Britain, but not if the start and finish is in Birmingham, it's 130 miles from me!

We could do LE to JoG for those in the south, meeting and starting from Lands End and those in the North doing the reverse Starting at John o Groats and we could have a mahoosive overnight meet halfway between the two where we crossover before carrying on to our final destinations.

I'll be moving about 150 miles from lands end so if this goes ahead I could have a useful stopover place, lots of panda parking and a functioning garage should be in place by next year (y) someone get planning :slayer:

Quite a convoy passed within a mile of my house :)

Sadly I only has my phone on me so pics aren't great quality and I missed snapping the #1 Fiat 500.

Just seen this thread, I was driving back from the highlands on Sunday down the A74M/M6 gutted I didn't see them coming past me at warp speed, instead we just saw a load of Formula Drift teams coming back from Knockhill!!
