Last night I was parking up in my local Asda and a green, M reg Panda pulls up. Anyway I hung around until the owner got out and then spent a few minutes extolling the virtues of classic Pandas. Turns out that the cars's called Olive, he's owned it for two years but he's never visited the Fiat Forum!!!
While walking round the shop I bumped into the owner again and realised that I hadn't told him about the smartphone app, so collared him again for a few minutes. If you are that owner and you took my advice and visited the Forum, well done, I'm not really nuts, just enthusiastic.

I thought being nuts was a prerequisite of owning a classic Panda? :D

It's sort of optional when it is only "a" classic Panda... -- but then the rot sets in (to your brain -- I think you catch it from the bottom of the doors...), and you end up with more than one: by which time "being nuts" has become a way of life. I find a 10 mm socket helps. :nutter:

Nah.. I've got rid of 3.. and I'm still not "normal"

It's obviously irreversible, then....

The scientific world has not yet admitted that Pandaritus (a common term) is irreversible, but it is looking that way. :(

Today a breakthrough in identifying the exact cause of this disease was revealed, giving hope that sufferers might eventually receive treatment to stop the infection spreading.

Scientists in Birmingham have identified that Pandaritus is actually a new strain of VCJD (Variant Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease). This is now known as Ailuropoda Melanoleuca Variant Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease (AMVCJD for ease of use). Like the hitherto well publicised strains, AMVCJD causes brain damage that worsens over time - the good news for sufferers is that unlike the other strains it is rarely fatal, but may lead to marriage breakdown & terminal hedgehog fettling.

This is due to be published in the Lancet on 1st April, so please keep it quiet in the meantime. (y)

I can't imagine they'll ever come up with a vaccine... -- and my belief is that it can be transmitted by sight. "Oh, a Panda: how cute...!" After the incubation period (varies from days to years), you suddenly find yourself surrounded by the things...! (Nice bit of species reference there, by the way...!) :D

:worship:

There's really no hope is there! Ahhhh

Go on then - it will take ages but you're the man for the job! :worship:

I know that crossword compiling is actually very difficult, but the answer to 1 down is welding if you're struggling............ :D

I've thanked you, and disliked your comment at the same time, because:
  1. Yes, it is very difficult -- I used to produce music- and engineering-related ones at university (although there's probably "an app for that", nowadays... -- I shall investigate...);
  2. I'm grateful for your (misplaced) faith in my abilities; and
  3. Now you've got what I laughingly refer to as my brain whirring with ideas. (Swine.)
Oh dear, what have I done now...? :bang:

I may be able to provide a vaccine for pandaitis, there are two females in my household that appear to be immune to the appeal of the free range Panda!! Of course this may just apply to the female of the species as it remains untested on males, I worry that being in close proximity to said females may cause my pandaitis to go into remission (as I only have one, Panda that is).

My names Bob and I'm a Pandaholic

Don't worry I have a brand new RUST FREE door for you - that will stop any (extremely unlikely) remission dead.

Anyway the other 2 are just in that famous Egyptian river at present - Po will be silently working his magic & they will eventually admit that resistance is futile! (y)
