He's got loads of Panda goodies for sale I think.

I know sometime it's seems posts are put up on here that we already know about - we have all been in the same situation - but it's always much appreciated that members notice these auctions and listings as now and then real gems come up which others in need may not have seen. So keep at it  :)

security has always been a problem with older cars, my uno was broken into by folding the top of the door frame (had a crooklock on so only took the radio cassette), the cinq was entered by a screwdrive through the middle of the door skin and the central locking activated, a cd player went that time.

My old boss never locked his cars, reckoned it caused less damage, though he did fit a false ignition to his transit van after the steering lock and ignition had been broken twice - a hidden immobiliser saved it from being driven off though.

Personally imo the best protection for any car is a lock up garage - certainly when I get one worth nicking it'll go in the garage!

A friend of mine agreed with your old boss. Early '90's he got fed up of people breaking into his Orion and damaging the locks (nothing was ever taken as he had no taste music wise & they always left the cassettes!). He decided to always leave the drivers door unlocked so they wouldn't do any damage - great plan.

Few weeks later how we laughed when someone didn't realise & put a brick through the passenger window to break in! :ROFLMAO:

I must admit I deliberately leave the drivers door unlocked & the boot too usually when I leave a car in the lockups - same reasoning that if some idiot got in they might as well not do any damage discovering that there's nothing to nick.

Maybe we should have stickers made -

"This car is unlocked, please feel free to take the sweet that has glued itself to the passenger door bin, a half empty can of deicer, 15p in coppers from behind the back seat and my 2 watt stereo (so I can get another off the insurance). Oh and if you can start the car without the key you are doing a better job than me with it!"

I want to see these stickers made! The annoying thing about my incident last week was the boot is always unlocked as it's too much hassle to lock it so they needent have smashed the door lock in, next time I will remember the leave it all unlocked!
