Hi,

I'm writing this post because I have a fiat panda cafe from 94, engine 1000i.e. fire and it has a idle problem. When I start it, the idle oscillates between 1000 and 2000r.p.m. and then settles at 2000r.p.m.. If I start to drive it using only the clutch without the throttle drops to the 1000r.p.m. but never to the suposed ones (800\850r.p.m.) like it used to do and if I touch the throttle it repeats the same like in the beginning, it oscillates and settles to high. I thought it was a problem from the sensors and I change them all, the coolant temperature sender unit, the throttle position sensor, the intake air temperature sensor, the lambda sensor, the air supply idle control vault, I even change the engine management control unit (only part used) it doesn't change anything. I can't find any air entrance. Any thoughts from what can be?

Thanks!

I'd say you have an air leak on the induction side somewhere, a split rubber hose or perished gasket.

Time to get checking everything rubber for starters!

Thanks for the answer. Yes it was a air leak in the MAP rubber hose..
