Off Topic Beware: jedgley17 on eBay

No one would like this to turn out as a Paypal admin mistake more than I.
Amoung the things I don't understand are why I was invoiced and not Paypal'd as would be the norm in an Ebay transaction.

However as all transactions are recorded and have their personal ID "Unique transaction ID" to be precise here's mine.

I'll be posting an image of the invoice.

And mine...

And mine...

Thanks, Andy...! (y)
Greg1275 -- now, is it 'clear what is meant by "a large sum of money"'; and, if 'most of [your] sales are of less than £30 each', is it only the larger ones where you steal money from people? :p

I'm expecting this to be a rhetorical question, really, I suppose. But, as others have rightly said, it would be nice if you could prove you had a big heart as well as a big mouth, and refund my two friends; as well as apologize to them, and for messing about trying to get an over-inflated price for the Yugo wheels. :chin:

And, for what it's worth: no, I actually don't feel vindicated -- as I knew I was right all along, of course. But, unlike you, my knowing comes from trust and friendship, and not that most least attractive of personality traits... arrogance -- which, from my experience, is the refuge of the bully, and usually built on a foundation of fudge-all.... :(

Just seen this.
Not too sure what, exactly, is going on.
What I am, absolutely, 100 percent sure of is Andy Berryman's honesty and integrity.
That is all.

Please correct me if I'm wrong, but im sure I have received a PayPal invoice after winning an item. Are these not sent by the seller?? Would this be a way of sidestepping eBay?? Just curious how it all works...

I think you can either send an invoice via Ebay or separately from PayPal. I'm basing this on the 100's of invoices I've been paying recently for Panda parts! You can bill anyone via PayPal for anything - just click on send an invoice - we have started using this for the FMC membership and once the template was set up it's literally fill in the name & bang it to the "purchaser". My last post should have had attached to it a screen shot of my paypal transactions for August 2013. Somewhere I got something wrong and it didn't attach, for that I apologise to all concerned. After 20 years or so of trying I'm yet to properly get my arround microsoft windows and its subsequent derivatives. I still yearn for my old Commodore 64 or one the BBC's from school.

I would reiterate what I said in my last post, in so far as I have taken my time to establish the real issues , investigate them and subsequently come to a conclusion. I have done my best to put all the personal opinions to one side, including my own.

That conclusion is that on the information available to me Alixcompo and AndyPanda4x4 may or may not have purchased the items they claim to have. Their ability to quote dates and invoice numbers et cetera suggests to me that they are genuine in so far has having made these transactions. I would remind everyone reading that I have investigated the matter thoroughly and have arrived at my conclusion by three different means. 1) I have investigated my eBay messages archive (based on the presumption that if a deal had taken place, then it would have been negotiated by messages) 2) I have conducted a review of my paypal transactions for August 2013, the month when both transaction are said to have taken place. 3) Finally I have run searches of my email inbox, under the names of "alixcompo" and "berryman". From memory I asked if I was using the correct names, and no one has intervened to correct me. I have published screenshots my ebay and hotmail searches in my previous posts.

As can be seen from the screen shots, they have all shown up negative. Personally where 3 separate means of checking give rise to the same result I accept that result as true. As far as I am concerned that is the end of the matter.

Why I'm not supprises...??? Hmmm

Do you realy want someone else to extract that screenshot for you?
I wonder how many others ebay buyers which were treated in same way as our cologues has allredy typed your ebay account name in google to check you out and found, seen/read thru this thread. It is just a matter of time... and your still not helping your self.

jedgley17 please provide same level of evidence as Andy and Alix done.

There was a similar problem on a Toyota forum I use.... This led to an outing of a company who far from played by the rules. The more the name of the company was mentioned, the higher it came on a google search. Now, I'm only pointing this out as an example of what happened there and I do not advocate such a practice regarding the ongoing problems on this forum between jedgley17 and the members of the forum.

It would be good if jedgley17 could sort this out and provide screenshots of the PayPal dates, as others have, to clear his name.

My apologies for getting the attachment wrong again. Hopefully i've got i right this time. Paypal August.JPG

Andy and Alix have provided evidence with your name on. Your picture is of no value at all..I could provide a picture from that date from my paypal...your picture needs at least the names on it, otherwise I must assume that you are trying, not very skillfully, to evade the issue. I will add that I have no connection with any of the 3 of you but would really like to see this matter settled.

In fairness, his picture does show all activity for August 2013, and nothing shows for the dates of Andy and Alix's transactions.
