One night on site BBQ, one night site restaurant, one night driving around for hours loooking for somewhere to eat and ending up with a battered marsbar no doubt!

You lot are completely bonkers, camping in Scotland, oh please. I went to Scotland in June some years ago for a week and it was like a monsoon in the North Pole. That said the scenery was stunning and I still loved it and will return after I've visited Sri Lanka another 42 thousand times first. Mind you I have a feeling the company of Panda looneys would more than make it bearable. Have fun and don't get lost and I will turn up to one of these Panda camps in my Rover one day if the wife can ever face camping
Some of us aren't quite stupid enough to camp. There are some caravans and octo wooden hut things - I've accidentally ended up in a lodge with private parking area. Is it called glamping when you avoid anything looking tent like?
Looking forward to seeing your Rover - how quick is it from say 40-80 in 3rd? Just out of academic interest......
Sounds good - has anyone mentioned a distillery tour yet. I vaguely remember there were some really interesting little places scattered around.
Arggghhhh No! A visit to the Glenfiddich distillery in 1988 nearly caused a family rift. I lost my grip on the passenger door of my Dads Renault 20 in the wind and it swung with a terrible crunch into a new Range Rovers door. Can still recall the trauma like it was yesterday
Don't worry, I'll miss this one out too, whisky was never my drink (especially after I drank half a bottle when I was 16 and was :yuck: in my sleep).
Talk about trauma, three day hangover and threats of eviction-from home
Mind you I've no recall apart from mixing the whisky with sodastream limeade, Bizzy with the Fizzy indeed

Being that this is a real life test that can easily be compared with anyone, I'm also intrigued, so tell us, how quickly does Panto do it?
If I get the chance tomorrow I'm going to see how quick my stupid Renault will do it.

Ha, amazing how it stays with you isn't it. I had a very bad experience with cider & I never could drink more than a sip after that!
Anyway the distillery is very interesting and smells lovely - you don't have to drink it! The process is fascinating as is the history of those places.
And no-one has a R20 so Giacosa is safe. I will make sure I park well away from him though, so he can batter the heck out of anything other than my Panda
I don't know but it feels quick, especially the 60+ bit. What Renfault is it - lots of cars can't do 80 in 3rd? You will of course need a private track - just remembered that!!
Good new and bad news.
Bad news is Beth cant book it off work
Good news is my Dad is now coming

9.5 seconds.
Oi don't break my car!!
I'm struggling to find anything comparable. An Audi A4 1.8 turbo does 50-70 in 9.5secs though, so I fancy my chances!!
Ah but is that in third? I suspect that's in top gear.
No 3rd it was on one of the forums comparing chipped and unchipped - 0.5 secs quicker chipped. Don't know how accurate it is of course & any modern car is a blimp!
