General Panda Road Trip Italia

General Panda Road Trip Italia

So I've been sorting through the spares box that I took to Italy with us and I have come across what I thought was a mobile phone in-car holder, but inside the box is actually a sat-nav. So who's missing one?!

Ahh yes. Mine I think.. - It started misbehaving on the way south so I bought a phone holder at the services and then forgot about it. Bought another Tom Tom since, so its yours Andy if it works.

Love the idea of a lost sat nav....

Separate question - is anyone considering going to the 2016 international meet? I am, but probably "cheating" again by not driving out...

We had a short discussion on this somewhere else I think, most would rather do 2017 due to the costs so I think I'll sort it with Mirko for then

looks like you guys had a brilliant time - wish I could've come with you but I was on a bicycle adventure instead. I WILL come with you next time though - even though I have lowered the car now. Maybe I'll bring the Panda with a bike on the roof :D

So, finally!
Here's the spreadsheet for the collection of Italian trip 'issues'. I couldn't work out how to attach the original Excel document so here's a photograph of it instead.

Hope you can read it. (Upside down - sorry, can't find a way to spin it over)

If you crunch the numbers this data set suggests that you are most likely to have an issue when:

Panda Panda is driving.
you are off road
It will probably be an electrical issue
And take 1.4 days to get around to and then fix, it.

All of which sounds believable to me. But if you continue with the analysis it suggests that AndyPanda4x4 will be the person most likely to come to your rescue. - Also believable if you know Andy but not when you know how he feels about electrics.

Which probably just goes to show - lies, damned lies and statistics...

This is an excellent read andyholli, there were some laugh out loud moments for sure! I would like to know what the failure category letters stand for in the second column? Also there were a couple of other adjustments made, MEP's back box was resealed in the Malmedy car park on the second day morning, due to a farting noise (!), and Panda Panda's exhaust was also re-mounted onto the manifold on the morning of the last day at the sport village, when Freebo and myself stayed back to fix stuff. Also did your wheel theft/change over from the Panda pod get listed?

I don't know if it will affect the average (as I have already messed it up by having a car issue for an "infinite" time length) but I only properly fixed my headlight three weeks ago when I realised all the contacts on the plug had melted together ;)

"EL" = electrical, "F" = fuel, "EX" = exhaust, etc. - you can probably work them all out. - It was just to make it easy to sort them into groups and then get a trend from the most common.

- I hadn't got those, so adding in a couple more "EX" issues might make that category equal with "EL".. Hmmm.

Also did your wheel theft/change over from the Panda pod get listed?

- No. - That didn't happen.

(Probably.)

I don't know if it will affect the average (as I have already messed it up by having a car issue for an "infinite" time length) but I only properly fixed my headlight three weeks ago when I realised all the contacts on the plug had melted together ;)

- I'd ignored the 'infinite' in the calculation - but if you work out the number of elapsed days since identification up to three weeks ago, I'll feed it in and recalculate. - To be honest I think 1.4 days is way optimistic for 'normal' Panda life but may reflect the pressures and breakdown risks of a long distance trip.

Cheers mate. (y)
