General Panda Road Trip Italia

Guys please remember this note :

Il saldo (Totale di: Pernottamento + Pasti + Iscrizione - meno 50,00 € di acconto) deve essere versato all'atto dell'iscrizione al raduno.

The total price (
Overnight stay + meals + car inscription - minus 50,00 of advance) must be paid when you join the meeting.

So if you sleep also Sunday evening at the Ciocco, also eating there (dinner) , the total price should be 229
€, but remember that you already paid 50 € in advance, so you should pay 229 - 50 = 179

I hope to be clear for you guys !! :D
I made this post because it is missing in the link posted by Freebo (don't worry mate, it's fine).

Thanks Mirko, the majority of the group will be staying on site for the sunday night too.

We're still unsure of our arrival time on the thursday, but if all goes to plan (!) Then we should be with you guys for Pizza too

I will post the journey plans up this week.

Ok so the plan, a massive thanks to @Freebo for working ALOT harder than me at this btw...

Tuesday 9th
Depart from our homes and head south towards Dover, en-route (PC european-style terminology ;) ) meeting point tbd nearer the time. Ferry is at 2pm and we must be there 45 mins before departure for check-in, so we'll aim for 1pm. We should be back on the road again for around 4pm on the other side of the water, where we'll aim to get to Malmedy in Belgium to stay the first night. This is around 3 hours drive from Dunkirk.

Wednesday 10th
Depart from Malmedy as early as possible and drive into Germany and south through Switzerland to arrive at Lake Como in Italy from the second night. This is around an 8 hour drive all in. If possible we can do 4 hours before lunch, then 4 after.

Thursday 11th
Como to Lucca is around 3 and a half hours drive, so a much more chilled out day. But if problems arise we have this time period to fall back on. We could also go via Maranello and check out the Ferrari Museum.

So I'd like input from all please, we need some options for accommodation in Malmedy and the Como area, any advice or input at all will help us.

Then the weekend's activities begin on Thursday night

And so to the journey home...

Monday 15th
Set off back to Como via the scrap yard in Lucca, and any others we find on the way :D:D:D John and I were also thinking a trip to the museums of Ferrari and/or Lamborghini which are perfectly accessible from our route. Entry for these is around 15 Euro each. If possible we should aim to use the same accommodation in Como as we used on the journey up, for ease.

Tuesday 16th
Leave Como bound for Stuttgart in Germany for our next night, around a 5 hour drive. On the way is the option of visiting the Porsche and/or Mercedes-Benz museums.

Wednesday 17th
Stuttgart to Malmedy for the next night, once again we'll try and use the same accommodation.

Thursday 18th
Malmedy to Dunkirk for the ferry at 2, arriving at port around 1 for check-in again. Then home I guess!

So once again can we please all help with some input for accommodation one way or another, grazi mi amicos

I know very well a police agent in COMO.

He organises different meetings between Italy and Switzerland.

Probably he knows some hotels or campings, because usually who organises meetings has a good knowledge :D :D

I will ask him if he has any advice regarding the area surrounding COMO.

p.s. It could require some days to receive the answer from him

Yes please Mirko, it would be good to know if he has any suggestions

This is where I've stayed in Malmedy when I done Spa a few years ago, worth checking prices as they do being chalets that will probably sleep us all in one and work out cheaper (can't remember exact numbers we've got people wise in the convoy).

http://www.lesvallons.be/en/

I'm not going to be able to contact them for a day or two, so not sure if someone else can, or I might try tomorrow.

Been having a look for hotels and have found the following:

Malmedy/Spa 9th June 2015:
Corsendonk Sol Cress £68
Hotel Le Soyeuru £65

Como 10th June 2015:
Ibis £32

Lucca 11th June 2015:
Eurostars Toscana £53
Hotel Country Club £53

Como 15th June 2015:
Ibis £32

Stuttgart 16th June 2015:
ACHAT Comfort Stuttgart £53

Malmedy/Spa 17th June 2015:
Corsendonk Sol Cress £68
Hotel Le Soyeuru £65

Note: The one in Stuttgart appears to be a 5 min walk from the Porche museum!!

Are those hotels each or per pair in a room?
