Err forum names would be best surely?!

Oh and where are the gutters on the panda to Mount the aerial?

Just get the magnet mount instead. There are 9 different types of mounts on the site to choose from.

I just got the kit through so may pop over to dads and have a play tonight :)

I also went for the 1.55m twig.

Edit: we also went for the cigarette lighter attachment. I know I could buy one and fit it cheaper but it's only £2..

Greetings, Citizens.

I haven't been following this thread but it sounds like you have a brilliant trip in the making - I wish I was coming with you! Mrs. Plug and I stayed in Viareggio on holiday a couple of years ago - nice, but a bit pricey - and visited Lucca while we were in the vicinity. It's a lovely town, and Panda friendly, too: :)

If any of you feeling like venturing further south, I'd recommend Siena - doable as a day trip before you come home. If you want to do Pisa then fine, but be aware it's a one trick pony. See the leaning tower, take a photo, get out of there. An hour tops.

Have a great time!

Cheers,

Plug

I've been speaking to my contact Mirko this evening regarding the arrival in Lucca. Whether we plan to arrive Thursday evening or Friday morning doesn't matter as he has kindly organised for us to be guided to the SportVillage by either himself or another English-speaking member of the Italian group. He's sorted it so that if we can get to the meeting point just off the highway coming into Lucca, we will be met there and taken into the complex, which is a massive help.

Mirko has signed up to our forum and will post tomorrow, he can now help us with any questions we have through this thread.

John Freebo I've kind of left the travel plans upto you up until now, I am very grateful of your work but I'd like to know if everyone is happy with the planned route and timescale which has been proposed? If so we now need to think about accommodation for the route and areas that we are going to look at for this.

Can someone please make a sticky of the route/plans? This thread gets longer and longer and I'm getting confused as to what's been agreed or is still under discussion.

My vote goes for a leisurely b road drive to the venue taking 3/4 days (camps prebooked) I'd like to savour the experience.
What I don't want to do is to be hammering down foreign motorways in a hot old car feeling unsafe!

I know some of us won't be able to take their time but perhaps a slow drive down and faster route back would be a good compromise?

Anyway just my two penneth! :)

Have you taken a bump to the head? The one who didn't like an eco run at 60mph to Panda camp last year :ROFLMAO:

I was going to keep the 750L flat out each way, I'll still probably be slower than you  :p

I literally don't have time at present to write up even a simple HTML document which could be published publicly with all the details on, but I agree some form of sticky or public info document needs to be made with the decided info on. There's always the option of doing it as an event thread, but can they be edited as more decisions are made?

I've started a group which is probably best for this sort of stuff so it doesn't get lost, I've sent out a few invites, but am busy at work so if I've forgotten you request to join and I'll add you (y)

Good idea thanks Jon. The link must be broken though, it takes me to a page of someone selling a Punto.

I can't get into it either. Is it a closed group? No ones going to be encouraged to join us if you can't see what's happening surely?

An event is a good idea though Andy - and yes if it's set up as an event you can keep updating the initial post. It would be ideal for this as you can put all the proper info in it (and everyone can see it) & let everyone else discuss things below the "official" info posting. (y)

I've done it as a closed group to stop anyone not coming / interested in coming from posting away and making stuff get lost.

I've invited everyone to the best of my knowledge who is coming / thinking of coming, and if I haven't you can request to join which I can then approve (y)

I still think an event thread is better, so everyone can see it & the main info is updated by Andy as things are decided (no one else can update the main info, which keeps the essential stuff clear).

At the moment there's nothing in the event section suggesting anything's happening - not moaning at anyone, just saying it's not where I would look if I was trying to find events. (y)

By the way it's 2015 Jon! ;)
