Hello!

I was thinking of buying a Lancia Y10 FIRE L (i think its the 1108cc motor) whit a 5-gear box.

Can i fit one of these motors and gearboxes on my Seat Marbella whit a 903cc non FIRE motor whit a 4-gear gearbox

Will the drive shaft fit?? and if it does not, can i take the whole kit whit diveshaft and everything and mount it on the Seat Marbella??

please ask me for more inof if requierd!

Thanks!!

/Emil

Phsically the Y10 is the same floor-pan as later Pandas.

All sorts of things fit - front seats (I have a set in my Panda), rear suspension is the same as Pandas from the (86??) revision - the omega suspension was developed on the Y10 - but it's different from the Marbella, which is essentially a MK1 Panda with cart springs at the back.

Regarding the engine and gearbox, I'd be amazed if it didn't fit... but, the brake disks are bigger, and I don't know if the hubs are the same.. but if you've got a complete Y10 you should have enough to transplant to make it work.

You might even want the electric windows and central locking , there is a brake servo too :) which must be worth fitting.

That Y10 will probably be 999 FIRE B)
However, there was a 1050cc "Brazil" turbo, and a GTiE of 1301cc, even a 4x4 in Europe.

If the price is right it's a good source of nice parts.

Ok, its a Marbella modell 1990 by the way..
Yes u could take alot of thuins from the Y10, it stod 11.08cc but it might be a 999Fire, 50 BHP
I want to fit the Turbo myself to leran how stuff like that works!!

And BTW what do u meen by "Hubs"??

And thanks for all the info!

Hubs are the bits at the outboard end of the drive shaft that the brake disk, and wheel, is fastened to.

It's where the wheel bearing lives.

BTW the turbo engine is a low compression version of a 127 engine. AFAIK "Brazil" is the type name.
It probably has more in common with your Marbella engine than the "FIRE".

Ok, Thanks again, so if its different u can just replace the whole thing....
