Okay: a bit of a weird one, this.... :chin:

I've waxed the heck out of Pippin, twice, now -- both for shows: the first time after liberally working on him with Autoglym Paint Renovator... -- but only yesterday, in the wonderful Wiltshire sun, did Palio notice a marginally slightly darker area at the back of each side (immediately underneath the swage/waist/belt-line; beneath the C-pillar; just in front of the rear light clusters...), that -- if you squinted hard enough -- spelled out the word "Formula" in jaunty, script-style lettering. (The area in question was pretty flat/smooth to the touch: so the writing hasn't been painted over: it's just resulted in a tad less fading where it used to be....)

I know of the Uno Formula; but the only actual 750 Formula I know is...[ame="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/750_Formula"]750 Formula[/ame]

An intensive bout of Googling -- both images and words -- has resulted in a complete cul-de-sac; and I can find no reference to such a special/limited edition anywhere.... :(

It looks as if they were original (or at least put on when Pippin was very young (but obviously not a 750 Young...!)); and ePER has the car down as a '141.080.1.0 - 750 ACT "L PLUS" 4X2' -- which makes me wonder how other 750Ls are thus described; and if there is any difference. That is, does the word "PLUS" hint at a slightly different version of the 750 (which otherwise looks identical to others I've seen); or is it just a red herring...?

I shall try and take a photograph of it, later. Not that I'm convinced that this will help much. If it is original, though, it would be interesting to see if it could be re-made/produced... -- but then how would I know what colour it should be...?

Is it the same as Ford did back in the eighties, where dealers 'produced' special editions to shift stock? This involved bunging on some extras and a decal on the back - instant 'special edition'

Quite possibly...!

Been a few formula special editions with owners on here and being sold...they have all been white...well that's all I remember....

There is one being sold at the moment. Same shape decal??

Here's a much tricked-out photo... :D

Have you got a link, perchance...? :worship:

Here is the member with a pic of the decal......look at his old threads for full pics of the car..

Just found him, too: but can't find any piccies apart from his avatar...

Nothing in his gallery, I'm afraid: so any piccies must have been hosted elsewhere. I shall go and have a Google....

Definitely the same logo, though, as you said. Can't see a number on mine, though... -- it's from 1990, too; and it's never been white, neither...!
