Mostly agree, however IMO the X1/9 is better than the 127. And the Cinquecento is 2nd only to the Coupé for the 90's

Well the X1/9 is a decent shout but the 127 drives just as well but with 4/5 on board and the luggage in the boot. It's also now more exclusive, and a COTY of course - 4 million people can't be wrong (y)

Love the Cinq but the mk1 Punto moved the whole hatch game on back in '93. :)

Call that off topic! Not really trying by the standards of round here.
Does the Dino count? although I'm liking your choices anyway. Possibly a nice broom yellow Cinq sporting for the 90s?

No only minimally! It will veer off shortly I'm sure ;)

Dino yep definitely counts - bit too exclusive (read expensive) for me, so don't know what they are like to live with. I'd make room in my million pound collection though..... (y)

2010's Mk4 Panda - it's a cracker if you forgive its roundness!

Nope, i'm going with the real mk4 Panda... The Brazilian Uno.

Although using that argument, why get a Coupe when you can get a nice 20v Marea weekend:devil:

You can fit 4 people, 4 full sets of golf bats & 2 trolleys in a Coupe. It's massively more practical than it has any right to be.

Anyway the Marea doesn't have a coloured strip on the dashboard so it's lost :D

Edit: clearly it was cramped, but it worked!! 3 sets of bats and 2 trolleys will go in the boot though! Oh yeah and there's a ski hatch for well skis I guess.

I can't believe they had the Volvo 240 in 80s.

Here are my choices: :D

  • 1970s: Ford Capri
  • 1980s: Fiat Panda
  • 1990s: Subaru Impreza
  • 2000s: MINI Cooper S
  • 2010s: Jaguar F-Type

Spooky.

Much as I hate the BMW Mini you can't argue the results of the ultimate hype machine. The E30 M3 was an 80's icon the Evo' last hurrah before the E36 made it look antiquated. From Council estate to concourse the WRX is something to all. The Ford Capri or Range Rover. It was a the toughest choice but it came down to which one I'd like to own most out of the two. Besides if "The Professionals" drove Range Rovers they'r either run out of petrol every chase or the mid-BL strike Lucas wiring would have set fire to them. Out of the new bunch the F is the only one I wouldn't set fire to if someone dumped it on my driveway.

If I win a golf I'll weigh it in and buy Panda parts. ;)

Reminds me of when we were designing a multiplex wiring system for Range Rover, in the '80s, before the CAN-bus. A manager mentioned this to his wife, and she said:

"What's a Range Rover? Is it like a big Panda ?" (y)
