How do I attach this blade to my rear wiper?

Does the top section come off?

Also if I undo that hex bolt will I be able to remove my roof bars? Or will something fall in and start rattling around in my head lining? As you can see they are starting to go rusty so I want to refurb them and then maybe sell them on depending how big the holes are in the roof.

But for now I want to keep the mounts on and just take the bars off if possible.

Can't believe this post has been up for two hours and PALIO hasn't commented!
(doesn't mean he hasn't PM'ed though) :p
james2609 removed his in a recent thread IIRC.

If you really get stuck with the wiper blades (I got so irritated with trying to put a flat blade on the front I gave up) Ha, Hal, Halfo, sorry I just don't know who you could turn too :(

*someone with actual knowledge (or on opinion) will be along shortly*

I think I have a U hook on the front, this is the rear wiper I am trying to fix.

I am pretty sure the second half of my wiper arm is trash and can be removed?

Think so, I had the same problem when I fitted one of those arms, just don't look like they're designed to come apart and everybody seems to list complete arms as replacements.I did persuade a replacement rubber on but it never stayed put properly.

Balls,

Oh well, rarely use the rear wiper but it was so perished.

How do these moulded ones fit? Just undo the nut under the cap and slide the assembly on and tighten it back up?

same fit as the front iirc, push fit onto a splined spindle with a little spring clip right at the base of the arm, you just have to get something in under the clip and lever off (easier in theory than real life)

Nice find Andrew, at that price it doesn't matter too much that you have to fit the whole thing.

With regards to the roof bars.......

If you undo that hex socket bolt you will only remove the cover that hides the bolt that goes through the roof. You will have to take the bars off as a complete unit, and yes there will be captive nuts rattling around behind your roof lining, but you need to retreive them to sell with the bars anyway.

Yes I'd like all the bits with them please! And blackpool yes I do definitely want some bars, so please let me know if they become available. (y)

how easy is it to remove and refit the head lining? From memory there is a hex bolt in the dead centre of the roof and thats the only fastening I can remember seeing.

It's not even a hex bolt, just a plastic trim clip. Unscrew the grab handles then it just eases out all the way round the edge and out through the rear hatch. Only pitfall really is keeping it flat on the way out as it's only a flimsy fibreboard.
