Only free for those not already using a cashback website don't forget. Can only do one or the other it would seem.

Still worth doing for charity mind

It's still free whether you choose to support us or another charity! It doesn't cost anything to help raise money = free

And anyway you can support more than one good cause & swap around as you want to on this website.

I don't think you followed, it's not free if you're (the donator) not getting the money like you would using a cashback website like topcashback or quidco. Means the charity is getting the money and not you. Not an issue if it's what you want to do, but it's still a cost - a sacrifice if you like.

Although its a sacrifice thats well worth it

Yep, web page is sorted.

I approached the people that did mine and they've added a Pinky section to mine so that I can update it as the restoration unfolds. I will also add details of up coming events that Pinky will be attending. The same stuff will go on this thread but not everyone looks at the Forum. Strange They also agreed to wave the charges and donate 20 to the cause.

There's a local classic car show on the 11th Nov. so I've entered Pinky as a test run before the NEC. I think this one will be a good one to collect for 'Race for life' if I can get some pink buckets.

It's being held at Newbury racecourse (RG14 7NZ) if anyone wants to come along.

Great news

I managed to get a couple of pink buckets yesterday Vernon, ready for the NEC. I found them in one of those any old rubbish type back-street shops in a horrible part of a horrible nearby town - I thought they were a bit pricy at 1.50 each but when I got to the till it was BOGOF so 2 were that price!! I'm not going to offer to post them for your show though, as it will cost more than that to send

I might be able to go to that show though - do you have any more info?

Nice find, will hunt for buckets in Alton this afternoon, ebay was way too expensive!

The Newbury show is organised by the same people that did our Thoresby get together, Andrew Greenwood.

4 pence from the panda keyring I bought has shown up now for me on on the fundraising site, but not the 4.50 for starting the new ebay account? Is it just ebay being slow at coughing up??

Re: Pinky The Panda Fundraising Thread

Hi Everyone,

The good news is that Pinky The Panda now has a bank account. The bad news is that I had to donate 50 to open it The even worse news is that I now want all those lovely 50 pledges please!

If anyone is going up to the NEC this weekend, please let either Vernon or me have your money. Cash is fine, or a cheque payable to "Pinky The Panda" please.

If anyone wants to post a cheque to me, or make a direct payment to the bank account, please pm me for details.

Many thanks, Gavin.

P.S. if you don't contact me I'll have to find you all from the other thread & hunt you down.......
Thanks Freebo, VmanC, Dragon Man, firstcar-Y10, panda panda and 1 others thanked for this post

Re: Pinky The Panda Fundraising Thread

Thanks everyone who's contacted me. I know I have a few pm's but I am too exhausted to look at these tonight after the Nec - unlike my poor Panda which is no longer exhausted. Look at the Nec thread a bit later to understand what I mean!

We had a lot of positive feedback at the Nec. We raised 66.33 from donations in the buckets plus 20 from Kevin for my spare tickets.

Long way to go but a start.

I did get interest from the editor of Classics Monthly & deputy editor of Practical Classics, so hopefully we can get some publicity from them. We also have a firm willing to clean the alloy engine bits in return for publicity, so that's good too - and in case you wondered no I haven't yet found the paperwork which is why I haven't said their name - well there are 2 Panda's full of Nec stuff!!!
