Hi,

I have recenlty removed an engine from the panda. I needed to move the car so attempted to reattach the hubs to the body.

I'm having real trouble lining up both the front and rear arms. The rear one I can get in, but there is no way of getting the front one in. And if I put the front one in first, the rear one is at an angle where it won't fit into its housing.

Does anybody know of a knack to do this?

Cheers in advance!

Just a daft question but are you sure they're the right way round and you're not trying to fit the drivers side to the passenger side for example?

Loosen the two bolts on the bracket where they fix together, put the tie bar in first but don't tighten the nut yet, then you should have plenty of movement to get the track control arm into it's housing.

Psst, they're identical;) in fact I think the only thing on the entire front suspension that's 'handed' is the arm the track rod end balljoint connects to because of the taper.
If you're having bother getting everything together I sometimes find it easier to get those arms bolted up and thread the bottom balljoint in last, so the spring's not pushing everything out of shape while you're trying to get bolts in. As Vernon says, leave all the bolts slack until it's all assembled, then tighten down last.
