Hi all, going to replace the map sensor but cant locate the correct one i need.
its a 1994 spi panda parade 998cc i believe....

was looking to get one before mitcar weekend.....

any help appreciated, did search forum but not sure which i need but the one on the car is blue and has triangle shape format of holes to be bolted on( one at top and two at bottom)

thanks again

kevin

what is stamped on my old is:-

PRT 03/03
0503AE
100 KPa

pretty sure that the PRT 03/03 is the magnetti marelli number

but they are many similar ones but with different Kpa rating....

according to part number reference is the following matches:-
7714662
9609992380

but please check if compatible with your car...i was told that this one on fleabay was correct

certainly looks like the thing and that page says the correct engine # etc...thanks for the info :)

out of interest what symptoms were you getting?

BTW have you used the free ECU monitor software, if so did it show up on it?

i looked at the free software route but not sure what cables i need and where to get the software, but would love to do it...

symptoms

injector light lit, rndom times really but when lit it would idle high, but still drive ok and some times come on when slowing down, still anoying tho...

starts and runs fine but trying to eliminate the red light thingy,

cheers kevin

you need 2 cables,
one from the fiat ecu to odb2 standard
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/16PIN-OBD2-TO-3PIN-OBD1-DIAGNOSTIC-ADAPTOR-CABLE-F-FIAT-/220808692750?pt=UK_Diagnostic_Tools_Equipment&hash=item336939440e

then another to convert that to usb
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/VAG-group...iagnostic_Tools_Equipment&hash=item3f19f39542

then there are 2 main software applications for windows that seem to work, with a bit of fiddling

http://iaw-scan2.sourceforge.net/ is the one i used, but i hacked the code and built it myself on a prev version, not sure if the latest one works, but the developer is very friendly and will help out i think...as will I of course :)

this thread which is about similar fiat ecu should give you the rest...

btw when my ecu light came on was the lambda sensor, i found that if i was in forth gear and going down a hill at say 50mph then lifted the accelerator to decel rather than breaking it would trigger it, only when warm though, i replaced mine with a generic one from ebay

apart from the light coming and going ran fine too,but was probably pushing the CAT...

have you got a meter the check the temp readings on the water temp sensor? that's worth doing..

also make sure the pipe to the map sensor is clean of oil...

but worth getting those cables and using the software even if for future use...
