Hi all,

After my panda 4x4 hitting 200,000 i decided it was time to treat it to a good full service :D sent it to my dads garage and they have given me a list of things to do  so here i go and hopfully you guys could help me where to get these from and advice (y)

Drive shaft boots leaking-both sides
Rear diff oil seal leaking
n/s lower ball joint worn
n/s/r brake cylinder starting to leak

And this one i have no clue what to do or go about it is: n/s/r halfshaft very loose and worn.

Any help in advise and part would be great (y)

Thanks Ben

boots, ball joint, rear brake cyl => local motor factor shop,www.ricabrio.co.uk or eBuy - I recon no more then £40 for lot +P&P,
not sure about 4x4 gear - n/s rear hub might be on his way out - not sure where to get, try fiat dealer first.
good luck

Halfshaft sounds like it could be the splines on the actual shaft are worn which would require a new shaft, might be best to try and find a complete rear axle and fit that instead as I imagine getting a half shaft could be tricky. You could overhall the rear brakes at the same time.

You will need to get a complete new hub carrier and balljoint unless you can get a new joint pressed in to the old carrier. If you are buying a new carrier make sure it is a 4x4 one as they are different to a 2WD one, annoyingly they are double the price also.

Get the front driveshaft boots done asap as you dont want precious gear oil coming out or muddy water getting in (especially if you go offroading) The boots have a bearing in them so they dont rotate with the shaft like most cars do. They are different each side also. Dont use EP gear oil when you refill the box, best thing to put in is 20w-50 engine oil

Check that the breather on the rear axle is clear as this can cause excessive pressure inside the diff which will force oil out of the seals.
