Just wondered in a lustful moment what had become of my dream car!

Where is Crashtest33 Camel now?

Does it still belong to a forum member?

If I win the lottery on Saturday is it still for sale?

As I said lust got the better of me!

Handbags!! ;-)
I only didn't post much cos you lot know 10x as much about the car as I do!! And I always welcomed and helped the newbies! The site was used as a blogspot for me.
Anyhows, the car did sell indeed! I got a great offer for it so couldn't turn it down. The reason I sold it was just a change of circumstance for building it in the first place. I.e. No rally, no full seasons.
I've still got a Fiat so all's not lost.
Everyone well??!!
(apart from being grumpy)

Nick.
You were one of the first to help me as a newbie eons ago.
I followed the Camel build all the time and consequently wondered a while ago what happened to it. I new it was on Pistonheads and hoped someone here got it.
I still am ashamed to say that at 57 I still lust after that bloody car.
Good to hear you are still around!
Any chance of Mk2 Camel?
Pleeeeez
All the best Dave

Sorry, sorry!
Ok, here goes...
During the final stages of my 2-seater Panda, my now wife n I decided to get hitched! All great, wedding went very well. Small but lovely affair. Just 16 Immediate family in a farmhouse hotel just outside Hitchin.
After that we decided that to complete family portrait we needed a Fiat Pand... I mean, a baby!!
Combine this with a new job (outside the mountains) and a new family, my reasons for owning a 2-seater 4x4 became a bit redundant.
I put it up for sale for a LOT of money and didn't get much interest so I reduced the price gradually.
Several people came to see it and fell in love!
With the Camel, not me!
Sadly because of the bespoke seat rails and Sei seats, the ride height is quite a lot higher than standard so the taller punter couldn't fit in!
The buyer was a chap from Manchester who owned a farmhouse in the country with a steep driveway. He said he really wanted something fun to get him out of the house when the snow came! I assume it worked cos I haven't heard a peep!
With a full set of Vredstein Snowtrak tyres fitted to my van this year I didn't get stuck at all!
So we'll all have to wait and see when Camel turns up.

Sorry no faces, I writing this on my phone! Lol
Nick

And that's the full sad story :-(
