General White Hen Rebuild

General White Hen Rebuild

Bit of a welding update and some bonus Suzuki sacrilege. Managed to keep up the welding despite work and sproglet pressures. Was pretty much obliged to buy a working car for SWMBO & sproglet benefit.

I am amazed at your dedication to that car - does it twitch when it sees you with the electric tickling stick in hand?

Alto's are grand little cars though they don't hold the road as well as panda's ;)

Good work Kris, keep it up!

Cheers chaps. Its sheer bloody mindedness that keeps me at it. Had to cut a very big hole the rear wing to rid it of rot.

The new purchase is indeed an Alto. Quite a sweet wee thing.

Car news the seatbelt area has absorbed 17 handmade mild steel pieces and an entire roll of mig wire so far. Greedy little thing. Y10s are good baby training.

Many congratulations to you both.
Love the spec list.
You might want to add that whilst this model is prone to leakages, particularly until run in, on the other hand the "ECU" is the most advanced known to man and learns at an incredible rate. It also pays you back every day !

Cheers Cameron. He is very cute. He is melting the heart of all ladies that meet him.

His ECU is getting programmed with some prodigy and I think its Motzart at the moment. Electro next. A good eclectic mix

Congrats man! That's some great welding....also congrats on the little one :D

Do they do baby welding goggles?

I'm afraid the thought had occurred to me . I hope he's into cars but whatever hes into its fine as long as its not Golf.

Well when I was over there I didn't see one y10 in the wild, a few of the later "banana faced" ones an more ypsilons than 500's.

Perhaps there is just no market for them?

Are you buying it?

If you do please add this to your basket for me!

I'm quite tempted. Both drivers doors I have are rotten and I really can't be bothered to spend a month fixing one.

You fancy the grille for Gertie? You'd need a fillet piece to fit under it

I like the whole facelifted mk1 look but doubt I'll ever find evrything else needed :(

I might just do what my builder did with every problem either silicone it or expanding foam it

Or steal Daves....
