Hi all,
Last week I pulled out the choke, only for the plastic lever to come away from the choke cable. On inspection, the metal T piece that locks into the lever had broken off. Never had this problem before, normally the plastic lever breaks, not the cable!
Now I could buy a new cable, but since my latest car project is only its MOT away from completion, does anyone have any inexpensive suggestions as to how I can reattach the cable to the lever?
My current plan is to use a chocolate block clamped onto the cable, with a loop of wire at the other end, but I am struggling to pull the cable out with a pair of pliers at the moment, so expect that the chocolate block won't be up to the job.
Not the best of weather to have a dodgy choke
