The old broken radio aerial problem again. - (Original Thread)

P1070265.jpg

A guy at Fiat parts told me, after 2 hours with this photo and the year of my car, called me back, and said that the aerial was not a fiat part, but fitted by a 3rd party company, which he is not aware of. Therefore fiat cannot supply a part for it.

Was he talking rubbish? Also asked it the panda was a 4x4. Whatever that had to do with it....

Aerial assy is a Line Accessory, they were manufactured by contract firms such as Zendar.

Assuming that they are still available, try Fiat part number already given by BR, 5899401, then also 46237569 and check with more than one dealer.

Regards.

Fiat dealers in the UK always seem in denial about any parts existing for the older panda's, the best approach is to go armed with parts numbers, thats all they seem to understand, I wanted a load of front suspension rubbers which they claimed they wouldn't have, they looked slightly sheepish when I turned up with a load of part numbers:D ; either that or go the ebay route, or contact ricambio. Good luck !

Thanks. Can I ask you how you found these part numbers? - Also, what are the parts for? Entire aerial kits like the ebay link, or just pieces of aerials?

Hello Will.
The part numbers supplied by BR and myself are for the full assy ready to fit to your car.

Please let us know if you are successful.

Regards.

Anyone:

Is it easy to fit a replacement aerial like this? How do you do it?

Hello Will.
Fitting is very straightforward, you will see as you remove the old one. Unit usually comes on a bubble pack with instructions on the back.

Regards.
