I need a new clutch fitted. Can anyone advise me on the cheapest way to proceed. I am London based. This car is not worth much to me and I cannot justify spending 100s on it. However I would like to keep it running. I am not skilled to fit a new clutch myself.
thanks

Hi,
Before you spend any money, are you positive that you need a new clutch.
I know that it sounds like a stupid question, but your posting suggests that you are not overly familiar with the Panda.
Under the spare wheel in the engine compartment you will find the gearbox with a large, cable-controlled, lever on top of it. By turning the bolt on the threaded bar that runs through this lever clockwise you may well find that your clutch comes back to life.
It's worth a try at least.
Regards,

thanks for your advice and you are correct I am still learning about the Panda. I will try making the adjustment. This adjustment you mention adjusts the clutch pedal height. How will this stop the over revving/poor engagement I get at the mo?

btw just to the left of the clutch adjustment (on top of the clutch casing I think) there is a rubber clip lid that covers a view hole. What is it for? Is it a lubrication point?

thanks

No!

Don't put oil down there.

On the upper inside edge of the hole are some ignition timing marks.
There is a mark on the flywheel which corresponds with TDC.

I paid about £54 for a Quintin Hazell clutch kit for my Panda, sadly now deceased. I also have a spare one: brand new and boxed.

The kit consists of clutch plate, cover and release bearing. Part number: QKT502AF.

If you want it please let me know ...
