4wd are getting rare and can be difficult to maintain

2wd are getting rarer but there are lots of models - 903, 750, 1000, 1.1...auto or manual? Special editions are also available...Italia 90, Colour, Fizz, CLX, CL, L, Mania to name but a few. Lots and lots of options out there!!!

Good luck and welcome to the forum, let us know how you get on(y)

yeah got your message mate have pm`d you back mate, so everyone saying go for 2wd?

i'd go for a 2wd, as martin said, 4wd are expensive to buy in good condition, hard to maintain and also more expensive to run.

the 2wd is cheap to buy, cheap to run and easier to maintain. also good in light snow. i think even a 4x4 would struggle in the amount of snow some areas have got, were in the top 3 for bad snowfall in the uk and there have been some vitaras and pajeros getting stuck localy, so not much hope for a 4x4

If your going to be using it as your everyday car then I would say go for a 2wd, the do more mpg, are nicer to drive on the roads than a 4x4 and are easier and cheaper to buy and maintain. There are alot of parts that are 4x4 specific so they are hard to get hold of and are usually expensive if you do find them.

thanks alot for the advice people i will keep my eyes peeled for the right one

i think im sorted now, cant wait to get on with work when i get hold of it, any good places for parts around sheffield/chesterfield? thanks for all the help on the car people

Did you by any chance purchase the Silver 4x4 from Sheffield?

I am close by in Chesterfierld with a 4x4 if you need any advice.
