Hi there!

Long time no writen but I was away...

Anyway, as I took pandaki for a drive today in the sunshine after the rain it stopped after 500 meters drive:(. It was realy low on fuel so I was on my way to the petrol station to fill it up and go. It stopped 50 meters from the station so not to much car-walking for me!:p
After I filled it up it didn't start no matter what, so I called the assistance. The guy after making sure that it gets current to the ignition coils and fuel after the fuel filter suggested that it is the injector that is faulty. The engine almost started when he pured some petrol in the air intake.
Now I want to ask what check can I do before going to the mechanic. Can I clean the injector somehow or is it a change only thing? Where can I check if I have the proper electical signal to the injector and what volage should I read on the multimeter?

Ah, and here's the pic of his first ride on an assistance's truck:)

Thanks for your replies guys. Didn't have time today so the situation is as it was: no Panda :(

Jangcy: I can hear the pump working when I turn the key and I have petrol after the filter so I presume that the pump is ok

Default_User: I haven't heard anything about bleeding a petrol engine. If somebody else has run out of petrol in the past can confirm, maybe?

Problem solved by depressing this litle button on my left (right for most of you) under the steering weel called fuel cut-off switch!:bang:

Didn't think of that before but had a look at the manual to see if there is anything about bleeding inthere and it reminded me that there's a presure activated bloody safety fuel cut off switch... so I was about to start dismantling the injector and said let's try this first and ther you are...
Pandelis the Panda is alive again!:D

Happened to our selecta once outside radio/alarm shop just would not start plenty of fuel I was lucky went to the fuel cut off switch and yes it needed to be pressed down again and we had not hit the kerb or sudden bump to make it trigger:confused:

I' m not sure how this thing works. In the book says that it cuts the fuel in case of leakage that's why I thought it tripped when the presure in the fuel system dropped when I run out of petrol

The switches are usually inertia activated. For example if you had an accident and severed the fuel line, the electronic pump would continue to pump out fuel until the ignition was switched off, not ideal if you happen to be unconscious at the time. A sudden impact/jolt activates the switch which disconnects the fuel pump.

I thought it is like that but I got confused because it was activated by itself when I was driving (not sure if I run out of petrol, it was very low though)

hahaha
good!!
Even "breakdown assistant" didn't think that old Panda can have cut-off trigger:):slayer:
However you shouldn't hear fuel pump, because it should cut it off and igniotion...
but it could just 3 secs pump test everytime you turn key on second possition...which could be separate from cut off trigger...

Good it's OK now...
