For the damaged bits of roof I would be looking at cutting out the damaged sections and welding in new pieces cut from a genuine scrapped Panda. The arch is pretty straight forward repair. What are the sills like?

I will give it a closer look next week, armed with a wire brush and a hammer but my inspection at the yard didn't turn up any issues with the sills or suspension mounting points, infact it looked particularly good around the rear. The leaves barely rusty and a fuel tank that is only a year old, based on it's shininess and the last MOT failure sheet in 2008 that I looked up online. Bet that wasn't cheap. Don't suppose the prop needs to be disconnected to fit that as that might explain prop off?

Now you come to mention I have a twin sunroof roof that nobody wants, unless someone decides they need it I can cut out some sections for you. ![]() What's the damage to the roof look like underneath where the door seals? If it's just the top that's dented it shouldn't leak as long as the door seal is straight.

| | Re: Panda Sisley 4x4 bittersweet yarn Was 87 (I think, might have been 88) for about 6 month to a year (again not 100% sure) Mine was an E reg and I've seen some F. G reg was the later type Sisley. and there was 18months between the two iirc, so limited Sisleys must have been until early F reg and later type must have started late G (back then reg's only being changed anually is a bit harder to narrow down). | ||

I'll get back to you Nitro, I am prepping my Westfield for racing tomorrow having only finished rebuilding it earlier this morning. Manic at the mo!

Anyway, just realised this is all irrelevant, as I am pretty sure that 'special edition' Sisleys only came in the metallic green, red and grey......not the blue, which became available when it was a standard model, at the expense of the grey. Vin EDIT: Just did a DVLA check for The vehicle details for F338 TAB are: Date of Liability 01 09 2009 Date of First Registration 16 03 1989 Year of Manufacture 1989 Cylinder Capacity (cc) 999CC CO2 Emissions Not Available Fuel Type Petrol Export Marker Not Applicable Vehicle Status Licence Not Due Vehicle Colour BLUE So it was March 1989 that it hit the tarmac. And it's still taxed to the 1st September, so hit that tarmac again Lewey ![]()

| | Re: Panda Sisley 4x4 bittersweet yarn Or Sorn until then. D reg - 1st Aug 1986 - 31st July 1987 E reg - 1st Aug 1987 - 31st July 1988 F reg - 1st Aug 1988 - 31st July 1989 G reg - 1st Aug 1989 - 31st July 1990 Assuming the second lot of Sisleys came out 18months (or just under) after March 1989 it could possibly make this one a late limited one, if the early none limited ones came out on a late G plate (June/July 1990). I'm just trying to work it out. My Sisley (one of the limited 500) was an E-reg (E956 JMO) and was registered 30 June 1988. With an 18 month delay from when (asusming mine was one of the last) you'd be looking at Jan 1990. Thus meaning that if this is the case, the one Lewey has picked up shouldn't have been around then? I think the ages and time difference in my first synopsis is more porbably ![]() Omg I'm getting confused now | ||

The interior of the Panda is grey as opposed to cream. @Nitro: Thank you for your offer. Assuming the roof is not going anywhere, I will carry on investigating the car and get an MOT hopefully, then contact you about the sections? In the damaged sections the roof has been pulled in, away from the door. This creates a fair size gap you can put your fingers through.

I am looking to get an MOT to prove it is worthy, rather than restore before taking it. Not looking to spend money or time if I can help it at this stage!!!
