Hmm... It seems to lead toward the end of August being the preferred date! Did people not realise it was a Bank Holiday? Or will they go anyway?

Is that per night? Two people could pay for a room in a Travelodge for that!

Re: Next Meeting!!! round 2

I am going to play devils advocate now, but how about a big one day meeting sometime August / September and then a massive Panda camp weekender/event next Summer? The one day event could be, meet up, scenic drive, meal, talk etc, maybe a car museum or something similar?

Please don’t all shout at once!

Much lie Gaydon was in Jan. Camping is better as it makes it much more worth while, for me anyway.

What museum did you have in mind?

Re: Next Meeting!!! round 2

When at camp we all commented that it was far more value for money (fuel wise) for those who have to travel a long way (like Jim). All that way for a 6-8hour meet seems hardly worth it.

And we're going to do a Panda camp again next summer also, it just seemed that everyone last weekend would be up for another weekend of camping towards end of the summer.

Also, for the few that work weekends (yes I know its only a few) the thought of taking a weekends holiday for only a one day events seems pointless (hence why I'm yet to make a general ff day event).

Jon.

It would be the same for me too, as much as I love the FF events, it's a long ol drive for one day, I would prefer overnighters.

Re: Next Meeting!!! round 2

Hmm... The flipside of having a camp on the doorstep is that it would be s-o-o-o-o-o tempting to just go home afterwards However, I too would like the chance to just sit around in the evening and have a chat and a few fine ales A convoy in the daytime to either a museum / race track / beauty spot would be good.

(three different areas of the Midlands there!)

A convoy to some beauty spots could be a nice change to museums. Get some good pic's of the Panda's. Any good photographers around to offer tips etc
