It's more to do with time - I'm at work all day every day this week Just want to drop it off and pick it up fixed, unless I can buy one over the counter tomorrow while I'm out and about

Hang on a minute... I have an engine-less Panda down in the workshop! Will use the switch from that one for now and source a new one for whenever

Car needs to be ready for the weekend! Need to be able to get car into work too, to make use of the valeting bay, etc

Thanks Guys

Re: *Urgent help* - Fan

Can still use fan. Just re-connect fan when you know you'll be in traffic.

I once had a dodgy fuse in the Selecta and had to wiggle it every time I was sitting in traffic

Re: *Urgent help* - Fan

Thanks again. I remember my old 126 had a dodgy thermostat - we just rigged up a switch on the dashboard

Re: *Urgent help* - Fan

You might want to check and clean the earths. Granted a dirty earth is more likely to stop the fan coming on at all but you never know with electrical gremlins.

Yes I did thanks

Dropped off car at garage in the morn, walked into work, picked up car later, went to friend's workshop to fit headlamp grilles, went back to work, finished work, drove straight to Billing for show Phew!

Bought two units; had Blackie's fitted for free

I do

Well, sort off, until we changed thermostate in dad's Selecta which seemed to help alot!

With old thermostate (probably origional) 90 all the way (when driving at 30 or 80), and Fan normally kicks in at just over 90 and no later than 95.

With a new thermostate though, she'll run at 80 when driving though, then go upto 90 in traffic, and fan kicks in the same as above

Whats yours doing then Charlotte?

Jon.

P.s, btw Mark, love those headlamp grilles!
