I've started to notice a bit of creaking in the front suspension, [probably something to do with flying over 20 mph speedbumps every day ].

I've tried to wd40 the pivoting bit where the lower sus arm joins the body but little effect and fear the rubbers(?) in there must be totally shot. Any idea where to get new ones?

(its definitely something to do with LS as could feel the creaks on the tie rod when jacking up)

thanks b/

crumbs, thought it was a trip to the breakerz for them...
24 quid doesn't seem so bad for 120k miles, - i think a bit of copper grease may be in order during the refit.

any idea what the right torque setting is for the bolts?

many thanks

Sorry guys...are we talking about the lower arm which has one bush and attaches to the torsion bar?????
Just been to Fiat and they want £32. (Long story...having fun fitting clutch to 4x4 :eek: and the bush looks worn)

Cheers...Kev

I had creaking suspension, mostly at lower speeds or i just couldnt hear it when going faster. I replaced the tie rod which sorted it

hi again, just went to fiat dealer with that fancy eper thing working on his screen.
40 quid a side for the sus arms!
am i in the wrong part of the country for buying panda bits (london)??

I did however get a timing belt for 12 quid and a cam gasket for 7 and 3 pounds each for tie rod rubbers - which didnt seem so bad.
am also looking for engine mount rubbers, but he couldnt sell them without the metal supports which i dont need (50 odd quid each).

My 1995 55S is a "creaker" too! the only thing that seems to work for me is Silicone spray,WD40 doent last long, whereas the silicone sticks in the crevices, give it a go!!

spot on (y), that silicone /ptfe spray sorted it. - tie rod rubbers were culprit, thanks.
