Hi peeps!!
My Engine is now reaching it's final stages of reconditioning. Over the past week I've given the MIGing a rest and reconned the engine. The main block has only had a re-hone and new rings. All bearings were in very good condition and all tolerances were correct so just painted the block red.
The head has been acid bathed and skimmed and rebuilt, again, all followers, Cam etc were in very good nic, so new stem seals & gaskets were all that was needed
I've got new belts & tensioner, gaskets, head bolts, filter, clutch, water pump, thermo and plugs being fitted on Wed, along with a good torque-up for the cam pulley bolt, cam bolts and head bolts.
