....Or how ever the phrase goes.

I've just had to spend another £60 on the Selecta getting more welding done

But I still love the car

Apparently the rust at the front of the sills under the wheel arch liners was worse than it looked. On the drivers side you could see upto the carpet , but all is fixed and welded up now, and for the amount of work done £60 was a bargin :)

I don't think it can possibly need much more welding :p

Happy *costly* Panda motoring.

Jon.

Jon.

i understand, everytime i wash mine something goes wrong. i might put a list up of the things i've done/had done one day. but i still love mine too.

I know this labor of love, it never stops but always brings a smile to your face when your finished ... ask Pandamonious Maximus!

Mine came with around 2 ft square of welding to do and a lot of other faults I'm still finding, but it's never seemed like a waste of money!
:)

Hell no. Now about to spend another £105 on extra's for the two Selecta's  :D

Roll on payday with all the overtime I've been doing!

When we had our little meet Jon, did you see the gaping rust hole on my Selecta's passenger wing?

Well it's all gone now. Our mechanic welded a plate neatly to the back of the wing, now needs a tad of filler to bring it plush, some paint and wallah :)

So how long after my baby is complete can I expect it to start falling to bits?? :p

You can't. It will never fall to bits, because just like us, you'll always patch it up. :ROFLMAO:

I guess I have been lucky on the rust front !

At the end of the day you get more smiles per gallon in a Panda, than in a run-of-the-mill-econo-box-yawnmobil. And that you CANT put a price on :)

£90 worth of sills arriving on tuesday to get lou back in the realms of mot, still smiling though coz i love my lil tin tank and cant wait to get her out and about:D:worship:

I've been lucky-ish for the time being but there are bits on Floyd that are starting to go. There are a couple of rust patches on the lower parts of the door/s but they are quite small

Fix them now! Before they get worse! We've learnt that the hard way on the 1000CL

Anyway. This is what my wing did look like

Will take some picks of the improved look in a bit and post (y)

I own a Marbella, from '94, and She needs a lot of attention too.
Luckly rust is not mayor, but I shall hurry before it gets. :D
And yes, there were plenty to do with time and miles(km's), and I should have done sooner...

Shocks rear than front, I had a broken front spring too, sides under the doors needed weld, brakes, transmission rubber mount, f.r. hub bearing, etc. :D and still suffer with (probably) low fuel pressure, wear of the steering-gear(?), vacuum parts, faulty fuel gauge, and so on. :p
But I enjoy Her, She's easy to repair, not expensive here (yet) to keep, under 1000ccm so tax is low, and eats 5,5L/100km(60miles) at 100-105km/h(60-63mph). :)
