hi everyone, LONG time no post.
iv been busy with many things..

last October i installed my 1242 16v engine and 5 speed punto gear box.
it drove absolutely brilliantly !!! everyday and i LOVED IT !

i had thought of things to take the project even further, but didnt have the time to take it off the road really.
end of Feb this year i snapped two ligaments in my ankle and was left in a cast and on crutches for a month and a half.
so i went for it !!! (on crutches)

i then added a turbo on custom homemade turbo manifold
an oil cooler
an intercooler
bonnet scoops above them both
a dump valve
5th injector fueling setup
a custom homemade strut brace with ecu and relay mounts
a decompression plate
painted lots of things red
added spot lights
fitted 6 extra gauges
a recaro driver seat
a pair of 6x9s in the rear and 5x5s on the dash to help the cd player
re covered things with red corduroy

once my leg had recovered i drove it nearly fainted due to the fun/power, but after a few days due to a fueling fault (extra fuel for boost broke) the head gasket went and it made lots of white smoke out of the exhaust.

current spec is ......

lowered 40mm stiffened
14" cromadora alloys with 195/55/14 tyres
custom strut brace
saab spot light in bumper
fiat X19 side vents put into bonnet
tinted windows
4x4 side bumpers and centre bonnet vent
extra gauges - oil temp,boost,volts,amps,revs,air/fuel ratio
good sound system
cinq sporting steering wheel

1242cc 16v mk1 punto sporting engine
aftermarket uno turbo intercooler
lightened flywheel
sports clutch
punto 5spd box with laithed down cinq spoting driveshafts
custom engine mounts + gear links
full 2" custom exhaust straight through de-cat to one Peco silencer+3" exit
garrett T15 turbo charger
2" boostpipes
baileys dump valve
k+n
oil cooler/sandwith plate with clio 16v oil filter +oil catch tank

hope you like the pics !!!!

You've gone more crazy than I thought you would! Now that is a modified Panda with all of the trimmings!

Looks like a lot of work and R&D! I will be curious about the details for sure. Have you lowered the compression ratio? Looks like you still have the injection system and ECU? How have you managed fueling with all that?

Reckon that strut brace is thick enough?!

Well done Xsisley (y)

A true wolf in sheeps clothing ;) Ace :D

Well done (y)

So, just for the record :D what boost are you running, have you got a rolling road hp figure and as lewey says how have you managed fueling with all that?

cheers Damon

That's mad as a box of soapy frogs and I love it.

I remember back when I had a Panda being overtaken quite briskly by another one with Turbo stickers on the side and I think that was a 1050cc engine swap from a Lancia Y10.

This looks a whole order more complicated and a lot quicker. Has it been near a rolling road yet?

Very impressive,

What Bar are you running, should be some nice power there

Again how are you running the fuelling side?

Any more pics? mainfold etc.. build stages?

Well, I can only assume that Aran managed to escape the earth's atmosphere over a humpback bridge and is now struggling to get a proper wireless connection to enable him to post replies to all the important questions.

Talk about "post and go"!

that motor looks a corker of a ride, i'd love to see it going, got any vids? seeing as i'm trying to do the same conversion, where did you get the decompression plate from and do you know how thick it is? what boost is it enabling you too run? thanks and have fun in it!!

Hi
Have you got ECU pinout (scheme) from that engine
1242ccm 16V (from first Puntos)?
