Question Advice needed to buy 100hp

I've searched for some information about where to buy my Panda 100hp from, but haven't found anything to go by. Maybe I'm not looking hard enough

I have been looking on www.jamjar.com and on www.fiatsupasaver.com as they seem to have good prices. Apparently Honest John recommends www.fiatsupasaver.com, but I'm trying to find people personal sales/aftersales experience from either of these companies.

I am looking for a 100hp in electroclash grey.

Also, I would like to know if you recommend getting the speaker + sub upgrade.

Your advice will be gratefully received

Re: Advice needed to buy 100hp

My mum's got a Multijet from supasaver, there were a few delays and the car had a scratch and the engine bay had muddy water marks all over it. Odd, thankfully easily rectified. Price was good and they did keep us up to speed with the car's arrival etc. Supasaver cars come from Pewsham Garages in Wiltshire. Thanks to the quality product that is the New Panda, we've not had to take it back and no faults have arisen.

drivethedeal.com are also often recommended by HJ. Also, don't be afraid to go to a dealer and mention the best price you've found, they're usually happy to at least try and match it, managed to get the Multijet to 2 or 300 quid more than supasaver.

Good choice on the 100HP, simply brilliant car.

Edit: Speaker upgrade can be very easily done at home with better quality items for less money.

Re: Advice needed to buy 100hp

I posted this
http://www.fiatforum.com/lets-talk-f...upersaver.html

FiatSuperSaver have only got Orleans Blue (communication this week) which are £8k. Pewsham in Wiltshire (same group apparently) have a white one at £7,695. Not seen any heavily discounted ones in grey (remember to add £360 to the price for metallic paint)

Where are you based?

I have never liked white cars, Porsche GT3s look ok, but not a lot else IMO. I suspect resale would suck, hence why plod moved to silver cars

Re: Advice needed buying new Panda 100hp

You could try Pewsham Fiat in Chippenham who often have good prices (search used cars on auto trader - last time I looked they had a new one for 7695 )

If you want the stereo upgrade you may end up paying a lot more for the car than just the extra price of the audio equipment, this is because it may have to be ordered to this spec, unless you find one already in a dealer that they will discount.

Good Luck, happy hunting!

Spoke to Pewsham today, they have one blue (£8k) and one white (£7,695), not expecting any more in

Re: Advice needed buying new Panda 100hp

James,

I'm wanting to upgrade the very poor speakers in my 100hp, so...

1...What components you got in the front and rear (sizes etc).

2...Was the wiring already there for the rear door speakers (if not, I'm not bothering to put any in).

3...Also, do the tweeters mount in the fake tweeters or did you have to cut the fake tweeter grill (hoping to avoid this route).

Thanks

Re: Advice needed buying new Panda 100hp

hi dave, I've posted this in a topic but can't remember where lol, the front are 6.5" fusion encounter series componants, as are the rear, but the rear is 5.25". I used the factory wiring with my own connectors to fit them, the tweeters are mounted in the fakes with the help of a rotary tool (eg dremel) that is the best way to mount the tweeters as it does look professional, and its pretty easy with the rotary tool (the ones in my old panda were screwed on top of the fakes because I never got around to doing it properly) . the front main speakers are mounted in adapters available from www.bluespot.com The rear main speakers are fitted inside the plastic surrounds of the originals, although if you find the correct size (its a bit of a hazy subject) there are spacers available for the rear

sorry to hog the topic layney

No worries! The more info I get, the better! This additional info is very useful as I'm still pondering whether to get the speaker upgrade or do it myself

Cheers

Re: Advice needed to buy 100hp

I think you'd better do it yourself because then you can choose what you find the best in quality.

And i think there are much better speakers available then the Fiat speaker-upgrade.

I also didn't choose for the upgrade because i want to have other speakers in the future.

Re: Advice needed to buy 100hp

Help......

I have been doing research on prices for the 100hp and I've found that drivethedeal.com are £150 cheaper that fiatsupasaver.com.

After speaking to their reps on the phone though, fiatsupasaver came across much friendlier.

Drivethedeal.com quoted 8-10 weeks delivery and fiatsupasaver quoted 6-8 weeks.

I am now in a rush to order my car as I need it by 14th March (or as close as possible).

Can anyone tell me if they have any first/second hand experience of either of the above companies.

Also, how long did you all have to wait for delivery?

Thanks
Layney

Some comments on FSS

Drivetheceal are always quoted in the motoring press so they can't be that bad

Are FSS able to get hold of colours other than blue now and at what price?
