That's good to know. Visited Desira Fiat of Norwich yesterday and what a bummer.

They couldn't find the part no for it, and said there was no 3rd brake light (went in on spare of the moment thing, so didn't have number from here :bang:) and the 2 other things I needed for the Sisley were discontinued and a silly price :(

It arrived!

The price is now 35.88 plus vat thou :(
But I did check with Nigel in parts and if your parts department say 'sorry mate, you can't get them...' they're talking crap. Anything that Fiat in Italy has a Fiat dealer can get.
Shame the instructions are in Italian but hay, it's only 2 wires so I can't really go wrong, LOL

Right, update from my end (Norwich). Happened to go into Desira Fiat of humble Norwich this afternoon. Gave him the part number, and all seemed well. Different price to you Jim, £37 inc VAT (about £32 ex). So he checked on another computer to check about ordering one and he said that although they're not coming up as discontinued, they're compleatly out of stock in the UK (as to be expected, not being a UK part) and compleatly out of stock in Italy

He said normally there is a date saying when Italy will be getting more in, but there wasn't which would make him think, they may be having trouble, or only just having decided to discontinue them. :(

I'm going to try Desira Fiat of Gt Yarmouth on Saturday when over there and see what they're response is, I'm getting a little pee'd off now, lol.

Have you managed to fit yours Jim? Does it clip into place, or use sticky pads? Any pic's if possible please (y)

Jon.

Sounds like he couldn't be arsed, what a load of tosh... Like I got the last one in Italy then, LOL?

Phone Mervyn Stewarts in Belfast on 02890 682255, ask for parts and get Nigel or Colin and give them the part number and ask if they can check Desra's story out. And the first person that says 'Oh but your in Ireland' is going to get a 3rd brake light up the arse for not knowing that I'm in the UK and for being a thicko at geography!

Anyway, that bit of yellow tape is double sided and it sticks on to the metal above the hatch and then there looks like a bracket sticks to it and clips in behind the rubber window strip (the tape seems only to hold the bracket, the weight of the lamp seems to be held mainly by the window rubber if that makes sense) and then there's 2 screw to hold on the lamp, some wires and a scotch lock

Nice of them to give you everything to do the job...

Jim

(oh and mine ain't fitted yet cause I'm flying out tonight to bring the whole 500 USA thing to an end this weekend so Sylvia will just have to wait.... :()

Cool, thanks for all the info Jim, and good luck with the 500 thing (y)

I hope no one here who has, or are getting, high level brake lights are the sort of people who sit at junctions with their foot on the brake, dazzling everyone behind. Can't decide which is more annoying, that or foglights.... :p

Lol. I know the feeling. I always try not to needlessly leave my foot on the brake pedal ;)

funny enough thats what they call me on gaydar :D

 :ROFLMAO:

Quick update.

Called into Desira Fiat of Gt Yarmouth this morning, and gave them the part number and they said no problem. Next order they would place would be Monday, and it would be in for Wednesday. At the price of £44

How can they justify a £8 difference

So I'm going to go back into the Norwich one next week and say their Gt Yarmouth one can get one. So why can't they.

Jon.
