Hello Pandas owners,

Newbie here :)

Few days ago I bought Seat Marbella 1991year. 903cc.
Was searching for Fiat Panda, but found only Seat Marbella.

In wikipedia I've read that Fiat Panda and Seat Marbella are same cars. Just some cosmetic changes.

So does Fiat Panda and Seat Marbella are same cars?
Both cars have same engines, transmission, etc. ?
If I buy Haynes Fiat Panda owners manual so I will be able to repair my Marbella by this manual? :)

Thanks.

Hello Marbella owner :)

They are not the same, similar, but not the same. In general, Marbella is Mk. 1 Panda (made to 1985, with rear leaf springs), but with exceptions:
outside - different lights (front and rear), bumpers, grille, bonnet, tailgate and rear window
inside - trimming, upholstery, front suspension and probably changed gearbox ratios
Most of the engine parts are interchangeable with 903 OHV Fiat engine.
Upper mounts for front McPhersons are from VW Golf 2, but front shock absorbers are unique to Marbella.
It seems that Panda is slightly better made and more reliable than Marbella, we have Pandas and Marbellas in our club, but in our both Romanian trips there were only Pandas ;) . But one of our members is in Croatia now, by Marbella, and everything is OK.

I see.
Not good then :) It will be very hard to find parts. I thought I can install Fiat parts to my Marbella. Well maybe some Seat Ibiza parts will fit to Marbella :)

And I think that Fiat Panda is better, but it was very hard to find Panda or Marbella in our country. Found only one car for sale in internet and bought it and it was Marbella :)

Yes, where are you from?
Marbella owners in Poland rather don't have problems with parts. Ibiza parts rather don't fit.
