Stupid question but a good one from a buyer of my Sei wheels and Tyres. Will the Seicento wheel hubs with ET33 stamped on the sides fit a Fiat Panda?

I do know that the Sei and Panda have a PCB of 98mm so thats okay, just the offsets. I am little worried about as I don't want this guy/gal to buy the wheels and finding that they dont fit :)

Cheers

I can't quote offsets...

But here's a practical measurement off my spare:
MK3 Panda CLX (155x65 R13) standard fitment.
Wheel lying flat on a concrete surface.
From the floor to the top of the stud hole in the wheel is as near 125 mm as I can judge - pencil down the hole then marked.
Taken away to measure against a ruler.

Ah, but only the 1.0 and 1.1 Pandas had the 155s.

It was 135/80/13 on the 750 and 900 models.

A fair point Paul,
but the wheels and tyres at auction are

FIAT tyres and wheel hubs - Michelin MTX - 155/65 R13 73T

unless there are two SEI~MADs in this forum, and I recon my CLX tyres as quoted are a close match, and fit a Panda too :)

Sorry, my mistake. But I was wondering if the potential purchaser of Sei-Mad's wheels had a 750 or 900 Panda, in which case, the proposed 155s would be replacing 135s.

I'll get me coat... [8)]

You've got me wondering now...

I thought the front suspension and hubs were the same on Pandas Cl, and CLX, or S, and the wheel and tyres were different.

If that's the case my measurement is useful.

If the hubs or suspension are different GOK

I suspect there's a lot of common useage between smaller FIATs - certainly between Panda and Uno, and I don't think they would have re-invented the wheel just for the SEI :p ( sorry, I couldn't resist that one )

Now where's that CL when I need it [?][?]
It only comes home when it needs money spent on it [V]

/anorak on/

Just been looking at the tyre bible site referenced elsewhere on this site:

the ET33 means inset of 33 mm.

Will have to look at one of mine and see if I can find it in all the overpainting, rust and carp - one day when I've got some "daylight time".

Good point, maybe you're right. Sorry to have caused so much confusion! :I

Not a problem Paul, especially if it stops somebody buying wheels and tyres that don't fit "properly".

If I can find the markings on my wheels and they're correct we'll _all_ know a good source of recently made wheels ;)

All you folk with SEIs just keep on upgrading [}:)]

Ahr, and I'll take a look at the 135s on my 900 and report back any numbers I find stamped on it.

Paul

Right, finally remembered to go out and have a look :I

The tyres on my 900 are 135/80/R13 70T

Stamped on the wheel is: "FIAT 400Bx13H { }-00"

Any help?

Paul

Hmm, that confirms the handbook for that size tyre.

Whereabouts (roughly) on the wheel, so I can dig through the mess on mine to see if they're different [?]

Glad it confirms something! Unfortunately I don't have a handbook so had no idea what it was supposed to be.

I found the markings on the steel rim, at 90 degrees to the tyre. On the part that's about finger-width. And I looked at the spare, because I have the 1000CL/CLX wheeltrims fitted, that cover the steel wheel.

Paul

Well, just got really grubby messing with the wheels - the one with least overpainting and muck on was missing the vital numbers, due to tin worm. So I had a dig at another one:

4.00B x 13H A447 12 92

The age at the end is correct for the age of the car.
But even with my glasses on I can't see anything like { }-00" in there.

I had wondered if it would be a bit wider as I had an exchange of views with someone in another place - he convinced me the wheels were different on the S and CLX.
Anyway, if I can do the thing with village photos again here's a snippet from the drivers' book ( from the CL )

Now I'd have thought that might be the end of the matter, but as the CL is unexpectedly home this weekend, and I had a look at its spare... would you credit it!

4.50B x 13H

with the 135 tyres on [:0]

So there I'm stuck, and a bit confused.
I suppose one of the many previous owners of the CL could have interfered with it :I as it does go rather well.
Or it may just be the FIAT thing of using the bits that are to hand when they make things [V]
I'm not sure I'll ever find out.

One final thing the B in the wheel size is to do with the flange shape. There are others. J is more common.
But what the difference is remains a mystery to me.

Sorry about not sorting any advice about offsets and SEI wheels.

135s on a 1000CL? [:0]

We're never going to get to the bottom of this, are we? ;)

Paul

Thanks for the scan from your handbook. According to my 1992 Panda brochure, the 750 and 900 had 135s fitted, and the 1000 and Selecta models had 'low profile' 155s.

Unfortunately, the brochure is at home, 265 miles away, and I don't have a scanner.

What we need is Steve to inform us what he has as standard fit on his 'G'-reg CL.
