4x4 rear leaf springs

Does anyone know anywhere that makes these springs as the Fiat prices are very silly (£156 each)

or failing that will the pre `86 Panda rear springs fit. (my parts cd does`nt go back that far)

Dave

Looks like I`ll either have to bite the bullet and buy Fiat springs or get my welder out.

It looks that way my friend. Our last 4x4 snapped its o/s spring in spectacular fashion up above Hebden bridge in January and despite 'being in the know' locally we could only source a very ropey second-hand replacement.
Rocking-horse droppings....

Just an idea, have you investigated the leaf springs from a Seat Marbella?

Hi, yes.
I have a couple of Marbellas in the garden as we speak.
Unfortunately, they are only single (main) springs and it is usually the secondary spring that snaps first.
But, speaking of Marbellas........they have the same floor pan as the 4x4's, and are better rot-proofed.........PLUS they often have all of the mounts in place for the drive chain. My son-in-law created a wonderful 4x4 Seat/Lancia Terra pickup van for under £500.
