General What is the difrance between a Fiat Palio and Fiat Punto?
I like the Punto more.
The Palio is Fiat's "World Car" designed for developing and third world countries. I've never seen a Palio, but from what I've read and from what friends have told me the Palio is poor in comparison to cars like the Punto where the quality and build has to be suitable for countries like the UK. The main thing for the Palio is ruggedness, with the suspension and so on more suited to rough roads.

That's a daft reply. The Palio and Punto are not sold side by side. I would imagine that to a Palio owner. or someone living in a country where the Palio is sold and the Punto is not, your reply would be offensive...
true, im sorry i didnt mean to be offensive. its just the reviews i've read indicate that the palio is a cheap and nasty version of the punto. so by poor i was actually trying to say disadvantaged because a punto is not available, rather than suggesting palio owners are in finacial difficulty.
but why did fiat feel the need to release an alternative to the punto? are they trying to say developing countries dont have the market to sell the punto so a cheaper alternative is needed? if thats true they should do what many other companies do, lower the price for foreign buyers.
i lived in dubai for 13 years and i always thought it was crazy that i could buy a range rover in dubai for less than half the price they cost in the uk even though the range rover was made in the uk. why didnt fiat just release half price puntos instead of the palio?

As Soon as I sell it will get a Chevorlet AVEO ( Daewoo Kalos) or a Kia picanto ,never again fiat , mistake of my life .

I Am Egyptian , I live in Cairo , Egypt , Fiat doesnt sell any kind of cars in USA , and if it did , certainly it won't send the Palio .
If you're intrested in a more GROOVY SPORT palio check the new Palio 1.8R
I have nothing against my Palio , in fact I love it , but if it takes the dealer 2 or 3 months just to get a Front overpriced Headlamp , Imagine what will happen if I had a serious accident .
Never again FIAT from my country I mean , not from FIAT in General , the AVEO and PICANTO are sold for the same price as the Palio and theier dealers are respectfull and ppl say they are good
the FIAT in EGYPT is done thru a stupid trailer company ... called Omatra ( www.omatra.net ) they didnt even bother to update thier website with thier new fiat dealership .

The punto is way to overpriced though, I would say that the palio is better value for money. The punto is sexier than the mk2 but not sexier than the mk1 sporting in my opinion.
punto's worth the extra money i think, palio's are cheaply built
