Hi Guys,
I'm from india and own a palio 1.9 diesel. I had a lot of trouble with the warning lamps glowing on my dash which when later reviewed was found to be a fuel injector warning lamp. i guess samy was searching for a solution for my car. when this lamp is on your accelerator is cut off and the ac compressor does not work, but when switched off and back on the problem was solved, after living with it for about 2 months, finally TVS the authorised dealers at madurai, gave me shock that the fuel pump had to be replaced and it would cost a whooping 48K INR. Thankfully running on warranty it saved me all of that and they replaced it, and my car's back to form. This car is really one of the best diesel cars in its class in india. nothing to match it. Hats off to FIAT.

I have another problem which is the headlight doom, the reflectors are all faded and night driving is really becoming a problem. i actually changed my bulbs to a 100 watt when only 60/ or the factory fitting was recommened. but the originals just didnt give me enough vision at night. i was told that as the doom was made of plastic the heat from a high power bulb would detoriate them, and it happened as the guys at TVS said. I'm looking for an alternative, is there any possibility of getting a glass fitted headlight doom. kindly let me know.

not to forget thank you samy and all those who responded for that thread, we got a quick solution to that problem.

thanking you.

regards,
kannan
