i know this may be off topic but has any one tried EGR delete on thy diesel palios 1.9D?
i bought a 2003 fiat palio 1.9D diesel 2 weeks back and have plans to do an EGR delete on her , will use a metal plate and block the exhaust port ,
i have read suggestions that a remapp is ideal but here in INDIA its way far from reality ,
i am not sure if any one has done this on fiats diesels ?
emissions are not an issue here , its damm easy to get by ,
my consern is to save my engine from the soot its reculating and also
next step will be to delete cat con ,
my car is over 14 years old and i cannot plonk a new cat con its too damm pricy here ,
can any one throw some light on the possible cons ,
i think the palio 1.9 D is same as the DOBLO that yall may have ,
i need to know if there is any one who has tried an EGR delete ?
and if yes then have seen any difference in vehicles performance ? etc .
thoughts anyone ?
I disconnected the egr connection to the valve not sure feels little peppier between 2500 - 3500 could be placebo, next step cat con delete. Prolly will feel the difference once cat is out,I did not go a blanking plate at the exhaust port I don't think I will need one, since the egr cable is disconnected the valve remains dead, View attachment 180398View attachment 180397 2003 fiat palio 1.9d ID I NA.
