I have an old Palio 1.6. Have been modifying it, made it into a two-door, put high-lift 285-degree camshafts, headers, the works.

The Palio stands too high though, especially the one sold in India. Now always liked the stance of the Stilo. And there's H&R lowering springs available for the Stilo to make it look even more sporty.

Here's the question: Is it possible to fit the H&R lowering springs of the Stilo into the stock Palio?

H&R has lowering springs for the Palio as well.

Do you have any link which can take to the lowering springs for the Palio hatchback? I have seen one, but it's for the Palio Weekend (which I think is the Estate version).

where are you located in INDIA , i am in hyderabad (telengana) ,i picked up a 2002 palio 1.6 GTX , she is a beauty to drive , i just got some general maint work done on her , plonked a new AMARON battery ,all 4 tyres and few tid bits here and there , got all the four suspension overhauled and the silencer was rusted to glory so got patch work done and replaced few joints , the car is silent now and runs good , i ran ECU scan and cleared all codes , am using MES (multiECU scan) the free version and am plannign to buy the licenced version soon ,

can you advice what was done on your car in regard to the CAMS (HIGH LIFT CAMS)?
was that a direct fit ? IF yes then i would like to know where you got them from and what was the cost in INR ?
also please share your power gains ?

Hi,

Along with hi-lift camshafts, I have put the Unichip for better power management. Have headers and over-sized pistons. The cams were brought from the UK. They have substantially bumped up the power, it's what I feel. According to the Pipercams website, the 285-degree cams that I use hikes up power by considerable 15 bhp. It's slightly rough to drive in traffic though, and in Delhi there's always traffic jams. So might sell of the cams and Unichip.
