Hey people . I really need some advice with my vehicle. For some reason it will not idle at all. I took it to a mechanic, he replaces all the plugs, filters and cambelt but still the problem persists. I took it to another mechanic, and he tested it with witech diagnostic software and he assured me it was the MAP sensor at fault. I ordered another one from the dealer and yet again, after the whole relearn process, the car will not idle!:bang: The idle control valve was checked and confirmed to be working, and so are the other sensors according to the diagnostic report.

I honestly do not know what to do anymore. I have spent quite a lot of money trying to sort this out and nothing seems to be working. Does anyone know what to do? Have any of you experienced such a thing or am i just one of those unlucky few?

Please advise me on a possible solution to this menacing problem. I am out of options and almost out of money
Any advice will be appreciated.:slayer:

ronin i had the same issue with my palio 1.2 petrol, i replaced the idle valve and it resolved ,i had to buy orignal magenetti marelli one which was expensive ,i am still trying to think what else could be the culprit here ,

Is there a picture of where the IAC is located? I need to check mine out, because the car will die after high revs when i step on the clutch pedal.:bang:

Im having so much $*!t with this car!!!!

Is there no way of cleaning the valve instead of replacing it?

If you are 100% sure that the MAP sensor is good so that means that both the manifold and the sensor are good I believe, but it sounds that the car still can't get enough air, so I think it's a clogged or faulty "Idle Air Control Valve" as the guys mentioned above but you should also have the intake manifold inspected and the ECU and the air sensors too (Mass Air Flow,O2,etc...)
