on Monday after work my car refused to start, after a bit of searching myself and two mechanics cant find the issue,
there is no spark and doesn't sound like the fuel pump is operational.
we removed my after market alarm and checked all fuses and wires.
the lights on the dash go on as they should.
fiat services advised that my key could have lost its memory after being dropped.
I drive a 2005 fiat palio 1.2 8v
any suggestions are welcome

check if the code key light gos off then it is not the key. if there is no spark on all 4 the spark plug leads it could be a ecu error but if you have spark on 2 plugs and 2 plugs are dead then 1 of your coil packs have failed .

I replaced both coil packs and the plugs in the beginning of December.
that code light goes off.
I'm going to try disconnecting the battery and ecu tomorrow and see if that might help get the problem sorted.
other wise its back to fiat for more parts.

I have just reset the ecu, I need to find where the petrol pump and the relay for the pump. all fuses and relays are fine.
can any one point me in the right direction.
still need to check both coil packs and harnesses

found what seems to be the problem.
faulty relay :bang:

Problem solved.
Now to replace everyrhing that broke during the fault search.
