good day
i have a 2001 1.6 16v siena. the car will not start. the key code light on the dash stays on. the alarm is turned off because the remote on the key is broken. no spare key. how can i bypass the immobiliser. this all started after we work on the car & removed the battery.
thank you

hi, :)
it's either a simple lost connection to the Aerial circuit( around the key barrel),

or a corrupted ECU - which will need to be;
A, cleared,
B, fixed
c, Virginised

I would double check power , try disconnecting battery again..,

then contact a specialist,
minirib in the UK may be able to offer an over the phone service..,
or look at the other ZA posters who've fixed other ECU issues locally, ;)

just an update. I left the battery disconnected over night. I connected the battery after I came from work at 6pm. the car immediately started after i turn the key. I allowed it to idle for a couple of minutes then switched it off. but now the car key code stays on and the car don't want to start. :bang::cry: I'm going to leave the battery disconnected again until tomorrow evening until I come from work and try again.
