hi guys and ladys if have a problem that I have never had Im having fuel(petrol) mixing with water the fuel is floating in the water tank a good 10mm thick now I know it is fuel since it has a fuel smell. I have changed head gasket stripped the throttle body but cant seem to see how the fuel is getting into the water . I am thinking that the throttle body could have a crack . anyone have any suggestions

What engine and fuel ?
Very unusual to get fuel in water as cooling system is pressurised when hot. Only thing I can thik of is a water heated diesel filter leaking, or as you suggest a waher heated throttle body. I don'tt know if tyour Palio has either of these, but the check is the same for either, disconnect the water pipes, blank of one port, pressurise the the other with air and look for leaks.

it is a 1.2 uses 93 unleaded fuel it has a pipe branching off from the main water pipe that runs into the throttle body and out the other side. I am sure it is for cooling . will block off one side and pressurise it and check thanks will keep you up to date

The throttle body has a coolant by pass, not for cooling, but for pre heating the incomming air.. but no fuel is going into the throttle body, only air...!!
Fuel is injected by the fuel injector(s).
